Peace Be Unto This House.
Before we start, I will like to quickly say a short prayer:
Lord Heavenly Father, we thank YOU for everything YOU have done in our lives, since the day we were born till this very moment. We thank YOU for YOUR Spiritual/Physical Guidians, Provision, Protection of our lives. We give YOU all the Praise and Adoration in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
Father Lord, we kindly ask YOU to please forgive us for all the sins we may have commited knowingly and unknowingly from the moment we were born into this world till this very moment in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
My sermon today is titled:
How Strong Is Our Faith in God In Times Like This?
In moments likes this, when the economy of the country seems to be going on a down turn and people are feeling the effects of the economy, the devil always tries to use such situations, to tempt and create that tiny little doubt in our faith in God, knowing fully well that the first principle of Faith is that, you have to beleive 100% and any tiny little doubt can affect the result that we expect from our Lord Jesus.
-----Lets open our Bibles to the book of
***Matthew 21: 18 to 22:
18 Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry. 19 And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away.
20 And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither away so soon?”21 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. 22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours
It's very important we underline the word Doubt from what our Lord Jesus said, He said, if you have Faith and do not Doubt, all we ask for in prayers we shall receive. Most of us keep asking God for certain things and because our Faith is low, we seem suprised when we don't get what we ask for. It's just like a student who instead of pressing the PLUS sign on his calculator, keeps pressing 2 minus 2 on he's calculating and seems suprise that the result is Zero. The Spiritual Realm also requirs total (100%) Faith and Beleive inorder for us to recieve what we ask of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Todays world has been structured to beleive only things we see with our eyes, they say seeing is beleiving. Wereas, the Bible says in the Book of:
Hebrews 11:1 Says, Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
2 Corinthians 5:7 Says, For we walk by faith, not by sight
In Life, the devil understands all this fundermental spiritual principles and tries to tempt/manipulate our ways of thinking, for us to think that these nothing really wrong if we have little doubt in our Faith, knowing fully well that any form of doubt it's a form hindrance inorder to receive what we ask for.
So, it's very important for us as Christians, to work on our ways of thinking.
