I am a new Christian, only for several months. Before that I was a strong, in some periods of my life even a militant atheist.

I don't think that I will be posting much on forums here, since I try to live more in real life than online. But I have some questions and also can contribute to some topics.

Hey man! Welcome to the Christian family! Please always look to God's word as to what a Christian is since we all fall short of his glory! I just saw a cool video on my Facebook called the atheist delusion, Google atheist movie and you will find it and look it up its a little over 1 hour long! Very insightful and I wonder if you shared some of the stances the atheists interviewed took and partook also in some of the realizations they faced when questioned!

Oh and God has put it on my heart to one day go to Germany, Cuba first so I'm learning Spanish form all sorts of encounters...

SunsSunny, I'm in China so no Google or YouTube hehe. No Facebook either, but haven't used it before either.

As far as atheism goes... I have a strong background in natural sciences but also philosophy. And read the Bible as an atheist too. But since I started to believe I just don't care so much about it. I just believe and have faith. And not interested in arguing with other atheists. I just turn the conversation towards Jesus.

I can't read Chinese but the one bible verse I know is really cool in Chinese ... It's a strange translation which may be outdated too which isn't used often but it is clearly true and I like it a lot :
from the fullness of His grace we have all received, and grace upon grace
the Chinese goes like this :
cong ta fengman de endian li, women dou ling sou le, erqie en Shang jie en
you should prob Google to hear it if you wanna learn the Chinese way to pronounce it! You silly men with yellow hair and strange colored eyes don't seem to be able to pronounce Chinese very well

Teach me a German bible verse that you know well

HA baker was a Chinese missionary to the poorest areas of China and wrote a book called visions beyond the veil, it's a free ebook
his grandson is Rolland baker! Leader of iris ministries in Africa Mozambique who also has a heart for the poorest of the poor!

i strongly recommend that book, has some pictures too although poor quality!

Actually I read more Bible in Chinese then in German haha. Since in Germany I was going to an English Bible study, never needed to start reading it in German and my English is on par with my German.

And since I am in China and can speak Chinese I'm reading the Bible in Chinese now but stick with English version for when I don't learn Chinese.

Haha BTW your Chinese sounds southern influenced, not Mandarin, can it be? The verse is still like this today in the heheben Bible.

yes my Chinese is mandarin, but I'm pretty bad at ping ying and copied that bottom verse from Google .
im from Hangzhou but many people agree my Chinese is standard mandarin. Standard 3rd grade level madarin lol. With no ability to read
