Hello.
I am new to the Christian faith. My parents are Christian and in the ministry.
I am Christian also, believing deeply in the redemptive power of Jesus Christ.
I also happen to identify as gender fluid. I have found a church that is welcoming. I have also been blessed to find Christian literature that is affirming.
I am frustrated, however, to find myself amongst the minority in the Christian community. I think it is so sad that the church remains ignorant on issues of sexual orientation and gender.
I just wanted to share.

How exactly can you be "new to the faith" if your parents have been in the faith long enough to actually be in the ministry?

Would you care to explain?

So you want to justify your sin? Great! NOT. We're to conform to the likeness of Jesus, with Holy Spirit leading and guiding us. We're not to conform Jesus to our likeness.

I think he means there is a fluidity in his sexual orientation. When I taught school---I have kids who had "two moms"---so kids in our society are getting gender confusion...

Once and for all.. here is the definition of Gender Fluid/Fluid Gender

Gender fluid is a gender identity which refers to a gender which varies over time. A gender fluid person may at any time identify as male, female, neutrois, or any other non-binary identity, or some combination of identities. Their gender can also vary at random or vary in response to different circumstances.

There's a difference between ignorance of it and having a stance that is against it.

We know. The world just doesn't like where we stand.

Gender fluid doesn't come from God. Genesis 1:27 - "So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female he created them." Not gender fluid.

You are still new. God will change you from the inside out, and you will learn your true identity as a child of God, wonderfully made, and either male or female.

Hermaphrodites? True. But while they may have different parts, they're still biologically male or female. And they can test to see which one and then many have operations to recorrect their physical features to the sex they were born.

Glad to hear you decided to turn to Christ. Not to come across as insensitive but God only created a man & a woman. The "Gender Fluid" stuff is of this world. I hope you will accept what God created you as.

Yes, yes! While there are other verses that deal with sexual identity, Genesis 1:27 is the perfect foundation to begin with and in reality, it's all that needs to be said. God made humanity in His own image. He created them male and female. That's humanity's original design. When Adam and Eve rebelled against God by trying to decide good and evil for themselves, the whole of creation was corrupted by sin. This includes sexuality. People began to define their own sexual identities.

Some people have developed body parts from both sexes or neither. But this is very rare and can't be the gold standard by which we determine sexuality. And they're still biologically male or female. There's no other option.

As for humanity defining sexuality, it gets super-messy, fast. Now, there are supposedly anywhere between 50 and 300 genders. :( Anything other than male or female was not part of God's original plan and is sinful rebellion against God.
