LOL....................
Seeing you have a cat avatar my cat which I have had for 15 years died last week. I have thought about getting another cat but such a union would not be the same.

Do you think I should? :)-

I think you should. Just wait until you think your ready. Ive always lived in a house shared by cats, dogs, and now rabbits. It gets lonely without them. Like your missing something

The cat I had was by chance. The day I moved into a house I bought; I noticed that the garage storage door was open, so I closed it. A week or so later I noticed a smell coming from the storage closet so I opened the door. On the first shelf were six dead kittens.
I turned to look away and looked down and I saw a black cat sitting up looking at me (J
At that moment I promised out loud that if she has another litter I would help her care for the kittens
A month or so later she had another litter on the same shelf. Then one day while I was laying in my lawn chair I noticed a row of small cats in a row with their mother trailing as they wondered into the forest beyond my house.
One of those young cats broke rank and ran over to me.

That is the cat I lost & she has black fur too

awww.... thats sad.

There was a stray cat hanging around my grandmothers house a few years ago. Biggest cat i ever saw. After a year of him practicly being hers, we decided to take him to the vet. The day we did, we found him with a big hole in his neck (He was a fighter.) Turned out he had lyukimia cancer. So we put him down. He had the dumbest name ever. Kitty Chomchom.
Man i hope i dont find a dead litter of kittens:(

i am very sorry to hear your friend passed on, and pray your grief gives way to gratitude for the days He gave you to spend together.

i am sure you should care for another cat, and a period of mourning is right, in-between.

God has raised you to befriend to these creatures, so why shouldn't He need you to be the friend of another?

Welcome friend! Moses was 80 when he spoke to pharaoh and Abraham was 100 when he had Isaac. Leonard Ravenhill preached a bold sermon at 75 where he mentioned people had told him to retire preaching and he said haha the devil has been telling me that for yearsv I'm not quitting ! You are not old sir, and since you have compassion on these cats you are certainly not too old to care.

May The Lord rejuvenate you and strengthen you in truth and righteousness!

The cat was not my “friend” in a human since. We just lived together in harmony; may she rest in peace :)-
