Hi thank you all for the welcome, I am looking for advice on a few issues I have,I consider my self a Christian, I believe in Jesus Christ as my saviour, I am not a member of any church, as I always found social gatherings very difficult so I avoid them, I read the Bible Everyday + pray daily. So I am not sure if it is alright for me not attending a church. I was also looking for advice on, I was in addiction for a very long time, and am now clean + sober 8 years now with God's Grace, I attended A A for over 5 years but I left 3 years ago because I felt A A and N A are Antichrist, I always acknowledge Jesus as my higher power while in the rooms but felt I should leave, come out and be separate from them that's what I felt God was saying to me, l am now very isolated as i have no place to go now that I can meet recovering addicts, I tried alcoholics victorius but there not in Ireland and dont seem to have chat online, so that's why I tried this site but am not sure if it caters for my situation, I would be grateful for some good advice, Godbless

I am not a member of a building church either, but I do fellowship with others, and evangelize if a person is actually listening and wanting to know what im about. Sometimes you need to be isolated so you can be that light. Matthew 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

As for addicts.. not sure really what sites are for that, but i used to smoke weed, haven't smoked it since i got saved. There are probably other ex addicts on this site besides us though. You could probably make a thread about it and create a group or something.

Welcome mutley
I have never been an addict, so i can't relate to your situation. But i have no doubt there will be some here who can.
I'm somewhat surprised about your reactions to AA/NA. They don't teach a specific religious affiliation, but do teach to have a belief in some higher power. So expecting it to be pro-Christian may be the issue you're facing? Perhaps a wrong expectation of them is getting in the way. Or it could be an issue with your local chapter if there's something more going on.

Either way this site is like any gathering of people. There are some great people, and people to watch out for. Avoid the Bible Discussion Forum as that tends to gather the least desirable people (ironically). Just join in the posts and you'll discover who you get along with and who to avoid.
