Hello Zelly, welcome to CC! I hope you are able to overcome some of your anxiety
enough to relax a bit and enjoy the gift of life our Lord has bestowed on us :)

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God gave me life that I might enjoy all things.

That came to mind :D There is a whole poem!

Have you ever heard it?

I hope you meet people here who encourage you to leave your house, because I am sure, as one song says it, "You're more awesome than we know." Note: I think that quote is about God in the song. It applies to you, too-- here.

Question: What's a favorite indoor hobby?

I don't know i don't really have hobbies I used to be a social butterfly and now I'm kind of just a book worm or couch potato lol I don't have any family or friends I guess my only hobby is studying the bible and taking notes and keeping a journal of it all. I didn't have anyone to teach me the word or good news so I've been studying on my own

fear of others is not acceptable.

In the begining, man was lonely, woman was created to give companion to him, this women bore children who were also companions to him, the purpose of the woman who gave companions, was for companionship. We are uch to each other.

fear of other people is contrary to this purpose we are made for, to not be around others, you are refusing to share companionship with people. It is also leaving you without this companionship you should really want.

go and find some place which's friendly, such as a var or gathering place, find someone who is standing around not in conversation, and talk to them, start with a greet them, you could find people are more accepting of personalities than you think.

I know it can be hard or daunting to study the Bible, especially when a lot of it can be confusing. I have a lot of friends who lead small groups or teach one on one. A lot of them teach over Skype. I can connect you to someone if you want to learn. :)

One thing that really helped me to overcome depression was getting closer to God. He taught me how to forgive others and let go on my anger.

Got any questions? I love to talk God's business. I had social anxiety and paranoia, etc... Still quiver sometimes, but improving. I spent 6 months totally isolated from the world...except for going to the mailbox every day and briefly working a minimum hour job. I finally reached out to church women who gave me some ideas. Got involved...slowly at church. Some churches unfortunately don't have that type of comfort creed...or whatever it may be called. I'm born-again, non-denominational now. Lovely group of people. They are helpful. Try to find a good church, if you can or at least listen online. Keep trusting God. Some would think Monks wasted their lives reading biblical stuff...there's no waste in God's word. "My word will not return void". You could very well be a wonderful counselor or prophet, etc...with all you are gaining today. Be blessed! -student

Today's devotional by Charles Stanley...thought it might be helpful
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

A believer is captive to fear when he or she chooses to be. Some people actually organize their life (or at least portions of it) around avoiding anxiety-producing ideas or situations. But Christians do not have to live in that kind of bondage, because trust in God is the key to our shackles.

At some time or other, apprehension enters the life of every believer, but it need not remain long. To confront our fear and overcome it, we must first acknowledge its presence. If we ignore anxiety or try to work around it, we will likely step out of God’s will.
After we have admitted to being afraid, the next thing we must do is identify the nature of our fear. Sometimes we feel anxious without knowing exactly why, but the Holy Spirit can reveal what is holding us captive.
The third step is to begin the process of defeating fear’s hold on our life. And there’s no better tool for breaking chains than the “sword of the Spirit”—the Bible (Eph. 6:17). God’s Word speaks to our individual fears. Use a concordance to find specific practical help. Or, for more general encouragement, turn to Isaiah 41:10. This is a very important promise and, therefore, a helpful verse to memorize.
When I feel anxious, I take Isaiah 41:10 back to God by praying, “Here’s what You said, and I believe You because You never lie. So I will trust You, Lord, to work in this situation.” Trusting God is the only way to be free from fear. So decide whether you are going to believe Him and His promises or be shackled by your emotions.

Hey Zelly!

I have social anxiety too, and I have found that my faith has really helped me with it. Praying and reading the Bible has helped me find comfort and strength in situations that normally trigger my condition, as well as support from family and friends.

I would love to speak to you and make friends if you would like that too!

Have a lovely day x

Hi Zelly, anxiety is a real pain huh? It's really a process to work through it but there is hope. I still have to push myself to go into strange situations but it can be done. Little steps forward with God's strength it really is possible. I have used the word really a lot in this post sorry about that! I will be praying for you REALLY
