Curious

Morning folks.. not sure if this is the right place and hope I don't cause any negativity but was wondering if anyone out there would be willing to discuss their faith with me. I was raised in a Christian household and used to be pretty devoted myself but as I came into adult hood I adopted an atheist lifestyle. Here lately though I've been questions myself. I'd really like to believe but I can't help but see all the facts and science that point to their being no creator or supreme being. I'm just curious to how you maintain faith with all the science of today..I'm jealous really I want what you have but I can't do it..

You're in a good place. You're very right. YOU can't do it. None of us can. That realization of being broken and ignorant as a human, knowing that we need an intervention puts us in a place for God to work.

The point there is to seek God, because he is the author and finisher of our faith, not us.

My prayer for you would be that he would send his Spirit to show you the way, that he would make himself real to you in a way that is undeniable.

As for science, the evidence given by the 'scientific' community is going to be twisted to suit some kind of agenda a lot of times. There's plenty of evidence for creationism, it just gets buried because the way of the world is to do whatever it takes to impose the denial of God upon society. There's a war on for souls.

I'd encourage you to pray. Research into creationism helps (for example, how many cultures have flood cataclysm records? Many. The pieces fit, too) but what's most important is that you seek the creator from a spiritual point of view.

Welcome Jlh3988, I was raised in a christian family as well which is a blessing that no one should take for granted. Unfortunately there are many children raised in families of either false teachings / religion or not having God in their lives at all. Trust me there is a creator that even those scientist will have to face. Satan goes out of his way to keep people lost. He will even use "professionals" & famous people to influence others for his agendas which is against God.

Man is deceitful, God is truth & cannot lie. God loves mankind more than we can imagine & gave up his own son for us. There are people who fear the reality that God is real because all of their deeds wills come unto judgement. No one will escape. However God is love & desires for no one to perish but to reach repentance & accept his son to receive eternal life.

I have no problem maintaining my belief in God with all the science today.. Science is a tool that can only measure / observe and quantify things within the Universe...

God who created the Universe is by very definition Not a part of this Universe and thus the tool of science cannot measure / observe or quantity God.. And Thus it cannot disprove Gods existence at all..

Fact: God created the world and every living thing therein.

Fact: God sent Jesus to earth to die for our sins.

Fact: You need to stop looking at "the facts" and "science" to know if God exists. Read your bible and use your common sense to decide for yourself, then ask Him to reveal to you whether HE is real or not..

God didn't create everything using "magic", science is the explanation of how God created this universe. The big bang came from a point of light, scientists to this day cannot tell you what that light is. That light was God man.
