Hello, my name is Peter James and I came on here to fellowship and have some Christian community in my life. I am a deacon at my church, but we are very small and there are really not anyone my age to fellowship with. I am also married to my best friend.

I will look around and see what's up; I pray that you have a very blessed day and that the Lord of Glory would shine down on you. Sincerely - Peter James

Welcome, I came here for the same thing over four years ago. I think it's easier to find debates than fellowship here. Everyone's happy to share their opinions...along with their hearts. Hopefully you find all that you are looking for. Any kids?

I know what you mean, my oldest is in university. Where did the time go? I have four children and am constantly in an emotional state of wanting to slow the clock down one minute and speed it up the next. I think God gives a little extra insight to fathers. There's been more than few times over the years I've felt like sending them to the desert. All it takes is a heartfelt apology and then all seems forgotten.

*** Seems forgotten*** is the operative word. They remember, I think it becomes a part of them. That's why we've got to be so careful now of our words; they may tell us they accept our apology, but any damage our words do to them could last a while.

I meant that when they get headstrong and do what they want instead of what's right, when they come to their senses that father knows best it's easy to forgive them. I know what you are saying though, we do need to be careful. When those little balls of clay harden you sure want it to resemble the intended design.
