I am a relatively new member. Well believe i joined a couple years ago but havent been active. Im a single mom of 3 in a very difficult spot in my life. I struggle with self harm, depression and anxiety disorders. Its a daily battle to stay above water. Trying to figure where i fit in etc. Have recently gone thru the loss of my grandmother, my younger sister, my father & my best friend.

My faith is slipping. And my spirit is weak.
Out of fear of judgement, misunderstanding and heart ache have kept me from seeking a support system. I have gotten into counseling and theres a LONG road ahead. I feel like more of a handful than im worth most days. Prayer is always welcome.
Appreciate your time.

Losing people is hard.
It's weird I know a lot of people who have lost like 5 people recently.
It hurts, and sucks. And that pain never goes away, but it does get easier to deal with. Trust me.

I'm a mother of 5 lol
Kidding, only partially.

But I've been there,
Heck the only thing I've overcome out of self harm, depression, and anxiety is self harm. So don't feel bad, you aren't alone.

Welcome to CC!

I’m so sorry to hear about your losses and your struggles, Mommy. Words seem inadequate to convey my care and concern for you. Life can be stressful, and intense feelings can be nearly overwhelming at times. It’s good you’ve considered counseling. I just said a prayer for you, asking the Lord to surround you with His healing presence in a special and powerful way, filling you with His love, peace, and strength in the days ahead. Remember that He is even more concerned than we are and is able to work mightily in your life. I know it’s not easy, but stay strong. Grace and peace to you!

I have prayed for you so that God may lift the cloud of depression hanging over you and to give you a sense of self worth. There are quite a few members here that are single parents so please don't feel as if you are all alone. Nobody on this site is perfect spiritually or even close to it, many of us struggle through trials and tribulations and day to day living. Glad to see that you are finally posting and I'm looking forward to your future posts. Hopefully you will find support, understanding and comfort. Welcome to CC.

Welcome (back) to Christian Chat, CryingHeart1980. Life’s challenges can be disheartening, except Jesus can solve our problems rather quickly, sometimes. It’s just a matter of constant prayer (1 Thess 5:17). I would encourage you to trust the Lord and cheer up.

Dear CryingHeart1980,
I will stand with you in prayer! I can understand how completely confusing it is sometimes in our Faith to know what the best answer is in discerning our secular problems with our spiritual ones. I think it's truly a good idea to seek a one on one counseling relationship with someone who is not only valid in "worldly" terms but also in Biblical ones too. Grief and battles with depression are so real, and often we miss the mark in helping others when we focus too much on one versus the other. Your conditions are real in a physical sense just like they are in a spiritual one. I always seek God first in my troubles but also call on His wisdom to make the best choices in those He has placed in positions to help, like doctors and therapists. Don't allow the enemies lies to keep you bound in silence...God has placed us here to use one another, carry each others' burdens and rejoice in doing so. I will help you carry this burden!

Pretty much same here. Depression is like a roller coaster....anxiety the flip side or beginning of the down slide. God is good and good days are getting longer and more frequent or am I on the mountain top? Well, doesn't matter, God is there as well as in the valley, God is there. I know that and we are good to go!!!!! Forward, HO!!!! -student
