I've never been part of a chat site. Last week my husband told me he wants a divorce.
So, I have my church family but it's almost like they are too close to the situation.
Right now I desperately want extra prayer and encouragement. And hope this chat will help.

There are many other members on this site in the same situation that you are in. Speaking from experience I can say that divorce is a hard thing to struggle through as it feels that all of the time that you invested in the marriage has been wasted and opportunities to improve your life were squandered.

I have certainly said a prayer for you. Hopefully you will find understanding, support and comfort here.

Glad to have you as a member of our family. Welcome to CC.

Welcome Mheart, sorry to hear about your marriage problems. As the scriptures says cast all your cares upon the Lord for he cares for you. He will never forsake nor leave you. I pray that he comforts you & fills your heart with his love during your tough times.

Welcome to Christian Chat, Mheart. Sorry about your situation. My church has been a big help to me when I otherwise would have been very lonely. Hopefully you can find some solace here on Christian Chat. But most of all, walk with the Lord. He’s our best friend and will solve all our problems if we let him.

I love my church family. They are helping, but I am fighting for reconciliation and don't want to bash my husband. I have a couple married ladies in my group that I am confiding in. He said he never loved me, 12 years, I adore my husband and now I'm so crushed.

Welcome to CC. You may want to move this to the Family forum instead. New members forum is only for introducing yourself. Would you like me to ask a mod to move this thread there for you? :)

(Don't be sorry, we all understand, heck, probably more than half of people here have posted in the wrong forum. Welcome to CC, we are very glad you have you.)

And, really, there IS no wrong forum. As you can clearly see because of all the people reading this in THIS forum.

But, you WILL probably find more sympathetic ears in something like the "Family Forum."

:) thanks again.
I'm much more of a face to face kind of gal so this is pretty odd to me.

I am sorry to hear of this pain you are experiencing with your marriage. Not only will I add my prayers for you but also for the heart of your husband, that he will be able to see your love and devotion and recognize the precious gift he is giving up. You are so fortunate to have the support of your church and specifically these ladies you have been able to confide in. Did you and your husband consider pastoral counseling?

I’m so sorry to hear about what you're facing, girl. I know how painful and devastating it must be for you, and I wish I could give you a hug. It's pretty obvious that you want to have a good marriage. I just said a prayer for you, and I hope that God will provide the wisdom, strength, and help you need at this time. Have you ever considered talking with a counselor? Do you think that's something that might be helpful for you personally? A good counselor might be able to give you some solid guidance. Do you think your husband might consider going with you? Your situation may seem impossible right now, but I do believe there is hope. Sending hugs & prayers your way!

He agreed to see a counselor at our church tomorrow but he's not home yet tonight. I'm lonely and hurt and scared. It's harder to be strong and trust God when it's dark out and you're tired.
I wish I could sleep.

We have a meeting tomorrow. Im doubting he will show up now. I was hoping. Now it's very late and he's not home. I've never felt so lost and hurt in my life.
