Hello all,
I am Amelia and I have only recently started thinking about converting to Christianity (from atheism). There has been a lot of signs in my life telling me to investigate what I believe in and they have led me here.

My parents aren't religious and are actually against it so I don't really have anyone to help me figure out what I believe in. Fortunately I do have a friend who is a Christian and has been helping to explain things to and I will be soon joining his Bible study group.

I look forward to getting to know some of you and developing my own beliefs.

I'm glad that you are considering converting to Christianity and hopefully this site will be edifying for you as you begin your spiritual walk. Looking forward to your posts. Welcome to CC.

Thank you for the reply.

I had major surgery nearly a year ago and ever since then I have felt a really strong pull to Christianity. Having the surgery made me realise that it was the best thing for me, I have had many social and academic benefits from having to stay at school another year. I also wouldn't have met the friend helping me through this (It feels like he was almost put in my life to help me realise), everything just feels like it happened for a reason.

Everything does indeed happen for a reason but at times the reason is unclear. I strongly recommend that you start reading the bible and saying prayers to God to come into your life and to guide you on the right path. Consider finding a church home too in a bible believing church that preaches salvation by the shed blood of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins. I have said a prayer for you. God Bless You.

Thanks everyone, it really means a lot to me.

Desertsrose, thank you. I am currently seeking and I feel like I am getting somewhere.

Yeah it is wonderful, we were just classmates but we met up for revision and now he is offered to answer any questions I ever have and he wants to get me a book to help me. I really think bible study groups at his church could help a lot. Thank you, I am excited to continue exploring.
