Hey everyone!
Writing introductions about yourself is so difficult.. it's like you're trying to "sell" yourself and sum yourself up in a few sentences which is near impossible. What is the first thing you want someone to know about you?
Maybe the first thing I should do is introduce myself with the usual facts.. my name is Kathryn, I'm 29 yrs old (slightly freaking out about the big 3-0 this year :/ ), I'm married, no kids, a dog, work at a chocolate factory (which means eating too much chocolate!..
Or maybe the first thing I should tell you that only recently I’ve changed paths. I was heading on my own path, aiming for my own desires, dreams and trying to make my own plans. A series of events has caused me to now follow His desires, His dreams, His plans. Throughout this I’m attending a great church: Planetshakers. Maybe you have heard of their music? I’m serving in the Early Childhood program (1 – 6 year olds)…
Or maybe I’m better off telling you that I love travelling? Or that I love singing my heart out to worship music even though I can’t hold a note? Or my favourite place to be is on the local beach with my dog? Or that there are so many things that I love doing but never seem to find the time.. things like puzzles, reading, cooking, blogging, travel writing… Or that I have a pretty decent sense of humour..
Or maybe I should get deep-and-meaningful and tell you that God’s bringing many of my insecurities to the surface? That my intensions in the past have been to receive, be all about me.. That I am the first person to admit that I am not perfect and have a long journey ahead of me to become more like Him.. that maybe it will help to just have someone there to listen, or to just say “Hey.. how are you doing? I’m praying for you..”, and my desire is that I could and would be that person for you too (of course no pressure!)
Or maybe I should tell you that I’m only looking to write to females (ongoing)? That I’ve bore some of my soul here, to try and show you a small glimpse to who I am, in the hope that you can see if we might strike up a friendship… Or that I’m married and not looking for love
Or that you’ve read this far (sorry for the length!) and if you think we would get along well then send me a chat..
