Hi, folks.

I'm new here.

I've been a Christian for a few years. I attend the local 'Church of the Enlightened' in town. It's a great bunch. Even though I have been going there for a few years I still don't know any verses of scripture except John 2:16. Maybe I'll learn more from hanging out with you guys.
I literally just learned one verse today which was John 3:3 "Jesus replied:'Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.'"

So hopefully, now you know two verses and if I read John 2:16 again I'll know two verses as well.

Welcome!

People tell me that except for the eyes, nose, hair, and chiseled features I pretty much look just like Javier Bardem. I hate Facebook 'cause a few years back my wife found out it was a good place to meet guys she used to know....and guys she'd like to know. So I don't do Facebook. And Twitter? That's sounds too stupid to even look into.

So, that's just a little bit about me.
Welcome aboard. Can't speak for everyone, but I bet we all do our best to make you feel at home. As for the church you attend, does it really matter? I know that as time goes on, you will talk of many things on here, and at times your religion may come up. Still no matter what, your faith is between you and HaShem, (God).
I really need to work on the use of Hebrew, sorry.
One last thing. If you wish to mesmerize scripture, the best way I have found is to pick a verse, read it over many times, then find a way to fit it into conversation with family and friends. The more you use it, the better you know it.
Be blessed my friend,

My friend, you are going to teach me to be ever optimistic even if I don't want to learn. LOL Good on you, HaShem will bless you for that.

I'm back after backsliding for quite some time. Praise God he is always calling us back to him and accepts us thru the grace of Jesus Christ and his blood shed on Calvary for us.

Welcome back. The Love of Yeshua knows no end, and you won't find me doing anything more than giving encouragement. Oh will I am also going to thank HaShem for your return.

Sorry. HaShem translates into English as The Name. It is used as in Hebrew there are 72 names for (God), so they use HaShem, (The Name) to keep from placing the wrong name, (or attribute) in the wrong manner.

Sorry haveing studied with Jewish people for many years it has became first nature for me.
Oh Yeshua, (you see that in my post a lot) is the Hebrew name of the one you call Jesus.

Yes he is, like a father who gets tired of his children not listening, and tells them to "come here" so he can teach them the right way. Welcome, it's nice to know I'm not the only hard headed child God has. :)

I can't say for sure, but aren't they said a bit differently? Just asking as I haven't heard it said by any Arab people.
I do know that it is Ha-Shem, Ha= The,, Shem= Name. it does sound like it is spelled though. Be cool to find out I am going to have to look into that. Thanks
