Hi my name is Amy, I've just joined today. Although I have always believed in god I was never truely devoted. I have recently found god and let him into my life. I don't want to make this too long so keeping it short I listened to somebody's testimony recently and then listened to their salvation and suddenly everything made sense to me. Within one hour my whole life made sense to me and I'm now beginning to understand what we all live for. I'm still learning and I still feel like I have a lot of sins to repent for. I also still have a lot of changes to make in mine and my families life. But I understand the debt I/we owe and I'm taking the steps to please Christ. I look forward to hearing from you all and if anyone has some helpful tips of where I can go from here please let me know. :) much love

Amy - I want to start off by welcoming you to ChristianChat and saying that we are very glad you're here. I'm thankful that you responded so positively to the redemption story you heard!

But, I do want to tell you one thing. You are forgiven. The first time you asked! He doesn't wait to bless you with the gift of salvation. If you weren't forgiven, you wouldn't be saved! So, rest in the peace that your sins no longer exist in the eyes of the Lord. We just have to repent if we continue to sin. And to improve each day, so that our lives can be more pleasing to Him. God bless you. I hope to be able to chat with you soon.

Thankyou to all for making me feel welcome. It's a nice feeling to feel connected to likeminded christians. And Thankyou blondensmart for your reply. Although I am not perfect, day by day I aim to become better and better at living in such a way that pleases the lord. I have already bettered myself and will continue to do so. I feel like he is with me at all times. And I want to make him proud. It's just a shame the way the world is the way it is these days I think so many people either forget or don't even realise why we are here and our purpose.
