Hi everyone I want to ask a very Important question. I've been trying to learn the gospel and I'm doing great I'm changing my ways. Physically and mentally so I can have a place in heaven. I must admit I still sin daily. But I'm working on cleaning my life up. I have stopped alot of things on my life. I no longer practice sin full time. Part of me learning the gospel was from my christain teacher Wayne Levi price. I currently for to his ministry on Sundays for the past 9 months now (Maybe a little longer). I love to listen and share story's. I love hearing the wonderful generosity and grace from the Lord. My concern is Wayne. Something does not feel right with some things he says. Not all just some. Seeing that I'm new to the gospel. I wanted to touch base outside my ministry to see if anyone knows or heard of him and what he teaches. I want to make sure I'm learning the right things. I'm not perfect n my faith YET. But I'm to wise to leave my place in heavn for false teachings. I just want to make sure I get input from all source's not just one man. Ty God bless you all love Johnny

Hi Johnny,

Welcome and I haven't heard of Wayne Levi Price. I can't advice you. But you sound sincere and humble and wanting to be obedient.

It may be that God is increase our discernment. I would encourage to write down all the scripture references which the pastor gives and in your quiet time with the Lord go through and see whether what the Pastor preach and diligently study whether the teaching in line with the word.

If it is possible, I myself will watch sermon if available on internet.

God bless

May want to move this conversation to a spot other than New User introductions.

Two things though. Not all Christians are in agreement about the bible. And no one can give answers if you don't provide what the questionable statements are. Perhaps post these in the Misc Forums. Avoid the bible discussion forums at all costs.

I just did a quick google and it looks like he is probably a false prophet, but someone else might have some better info. And you seem earnest and sincere, and I just want you to know that getting to heaven isn't something you earn by changing yourself - God called you and you answered and put your belief in Jesus. :) You change your ways and let Him change you because you love him. If that makes sense? :) Ephesians 2:8-9 says 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and [h]that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. There are some verses elsewhere about works showing that we are saved, but still, the things WE do aren't what makes us saved. If a tree is alive and growing (saved) it is going to produce fruit. The production of fruit is not what makes the tree alive, but it is going to happen if the tree is alive and growing. If the tree does not produce fruit, it is probably dead/dying. Again, it isn't the lack of fruit that makes the tree dead, but there is obviously something wrong if the tree does not produce any fruit. The fruit is a sign that that the tree is alive!

It is late here and I am tired so I hope that wasn't confusing. Someone else feel free to comment or correct me as you see fit. :)

Welcome to CC. Your OP belongs in the bible forum. New members forum is only for introducing yourself. :) I'll ask a mod to move it there for you.

Remember that although there ARE false teachers out there, there is also such a thing as just disagreeing on issues that are not important for salvation.

If there are specific things you are worried about, start a thread in a relevant forums, but as Ugly said: it is safest to stay out of the bible discussion forum :p it's a war zone at times

I haven't heard of this guy, but teachers usually don't know everything and sometimes teach the wrong things. That doesn't necessarily make them bad people. But you are responsible for your own actions, so make sure you are reading the Bible to learn what Jesus had to say.

Test everything and make sure his words align with scriptures. The only teacher you need is Jesus and with help of the Holy spirit they will lead you to truth. God bless and welcome my friend.

Thanks to the people that pointed out that false prophet was probably not the right phrase - I was quick to judge what I saw and didn't pay close attention. He seems passionate a d zealous, and I think sometimes younger Christians, especially younger preachers, can get overzealous about the wrong things from time to time. Christian leaders are all human and all get it wrong from time to time when they aren't listening to God, add if something doesn't sit right with you then pray and seek other godly counsel about that matter.

But sorry about the false prophet comment. I was quick to judge!
