Hello, my name is MJ. I am 25 years old and dealing with the constant struggle against the enemies in my head (Bulimia with Anorexic Tendencies, PPD, Anxiety and OCD)
I try every day to know God more as I often feel like He is my only family. My son is a year and a half old and all though he is my best friend the PPD makes me so depressed sometimes I can't even hold him. His daddy works so much that I have been feeling like a single mom for a long time and every time I talk to him about it he just says sorry and goes to sleep.
Last night I had a break down from feeling like a failure and I suppose I'm here to try to make some spiritual friends as I have no friends and feel very alone...

Thanks for listening...

Welcome to CC, Mint.. :) You may want to have this thread moved to the Family forum, where it will get more replies and better coverage. This forum here is mainly for introducing yourself. I can contact a mod to move this thread for you if you'd like. :)

Hi Thin
Welcome to CC.
Sorry to hear about all your troubles. I know little about PPD or eating disorders, but I have had problems with anxiety and depression. And I dated a woman with OCD, so I have at least a bit of an idea what you're going through. I hope you can find some comfort here. We have a Prayer Request forum if you'd like to ask for prayer.
Just jump into the forums and start posting.

Welcome to Christian Chat, ThisMint. I didn’t see anything in your post to suggest you are a failure.

Hi mj,

Just wanted to welcome you, and hope to see you more often. I do come in, but not for long periods, so i know i miss much. But there would sure be others who can chat with you, pray, and learn with.

Everyone feels very alone at some point, and i hope you get over that soon, w/ a little help from friends and your medication perhaps. I myself was at a very low point in my life when i came to cc, but God is good, and not dwelling on ur own problems may perhaps help, like if u are able to help others in similar situation u are in here or elsewhere (there where u are).

Are you being treated for these conditions? I think that it is sad that you feel that your 1 1/2 year old son is your best friend as if you don't have any friends including his dad. From your profile I am assuming that you're not married to the father of your child. It is good to try to get to know God but He is not your only family. The thing about living with someone outside of marriage is that the relationship is unstable because of lack of commitment. I'm not judging you and will say no more on this matter. It is better for the dad to work a lot rather than going out partying with his friends. Hopefully, he is working to provide for you and his son. I pray that you do make spiritual friends that will help you on your spiritual walk and to also assist you with dealing with your medical problems. Glad to have you as part of our family. Welcome to CC.
