My spiritual dad told me about this site and said he was enjoying it and having a lot of fun. I'm leary of even Christian chat rooms because I'm extremely sensitive but I think I need to sew a mustard seed here- something tells me I'll be okay in this place.
The name comes from a mix of humor and, well, I don't believe in coincidences in the Lord. My pastor and a parishioner call me Moses at my church. Hey, if I'm going to have my hair this way, I might as well not go against the grain and just........have a sense of humor about it. I wrote a Christian novel in which Moses is mentioned because of the name of a summer camp and it's a brilliant inspiration to its own author- all glory be to God for every aspect of the work- so being called Moses is a cool thing. The camp is named after the Mountain of God upon which Moses stood. Camp Horeb, Hebrew for Sinai, and though it's a fictitious place, it's set on a real body of water- Moses Lake in Washington state.
My best friend from church made a joke so bad it was good. He said that because Moses was set adrift in a basket at birth, that he was a real basket case. Boooo! I loved it, considering I haven't been under the same roof with my mother since I was a baby. It lends some comic relief to that reality. I will be seeing her shortly. I can't call myself a REAL basket case because I'm in Christ- but without Him I sure would be.
Okay, well, greetings to everyone in the love of Christ.
