Welcome to CC Maddie.

Well this is the section for introducing yourself, so not the ideal place for such a question.
Also most Christians won't go for patron saints. The belief is not biblical. Dead humans cannot protect or affect our lives. God alone is our protector and provider and putting that trust in anyone else, and wearing jewellery to represent this belief is more akin to idolatry. That means placing something above God.
I believe it's mostly Catholics that teach patron saints, though probably some others as well. Typically Catholics are not accepted by most protestant Christians as part of the church. I'm not sure where you were saved or whatmyouve been taught so far, but this is some things you may find helpful based off of your post. :)

Hi Maddie :) Welcome to CC sis :) Nice meeting you!

Please let me share with you some beautiful verses yayyy for this beautiful Saturday afternoon! ..thank u :)

GOD loves us even though we don't deserve to be loved by HIM. HE gave the most HE could give "HIS LIFE" for us who deserve it the least... Romans 5:6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die ; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die 8 But GOD demonstrates HIS own love toward us,in that while we were still sinners , Christ died for us. Have a wonderful day!

God bless you!

Welcome to Christian Chat, Maddie. I would open the Bible to page one and read it all the way through. And follow Paul’s advice:

Pray constantly. 1 Thess 5:17

And remember the two great commandments:

[34] But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sad'ducees, they came together.
[35] And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, to test him.
[36] "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?"
[37] And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
[38] This is the great and first commandment.
[39] And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
[40] On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets." Matt 22:34-40 RSV

Welcome to CC.

I'd advice you to skip the OT for now and start in the new testament.
Once you've got it covered, you can go back to the OT and see how they tie together.

If you come across something you don't understand, ask a fellow Christian, pray, and see if you find other bible passages on the same topic. (Biblegateway is one of the sites that let's you do a topic search).
