Then perhaps some study about who Christians claim the man, Jesus, was (and is) might be a good place to start.

Second, congrats on wanting to convert to Christianity. :)

I did but I got so confused with the different sectors like the orthodox and the catholic etc etc and their beliefs I got lost so I wanted some one to explain it to me simply

I would try to avoid specific and esoteric religious factions of Christianity, and search the internet (Google?) for nothing more than just the things various individual's research on the person of Jesus has revealed to them.

That's a great place to start. Because Christianity (should) center almost exclusively upon the person of Jesus. It you cannot accept who and what that one man, Jesus claimed to be, then you may not be able to build upon a foundation that eminates from a concentrated focus.

Better to lose your family than your soul. If they never forced you to practice Islam, I doubt they will notice if you become a Christian. Just hide your Bible under your bed.
