Maybe you are well off. I've never married and am very happy. Walk with the Lord. He is a great companion, and he shows us the way to happiness, every day.

Hello Momof2 - God is still in control and He still loves you more than I can put into words even. He has plans for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future. This is an understandably horrific moment, but God promises He will keep us from falling; this too will pass. and in the days ahead, He will establish your steps. So, this is a crossroads, and I don't know the whole story so there may still be hope, only God would know that. But suffice it to say, we welcome you here and we want to encourage and comfort you during this difficult time. My empathy is with you. I went thru a 29 year marriage that she wanted to trade in for worldly endeavors...(3 boy's).

"Father, You are the God of miracles and have the power to heal all wounds. Lord, I ask You to be Momof2's refuge right now, as she enters a crossroads of emotions, I pray you will direct her closer and not further from You, build her perseverance so that she will have a forged Character loving You all the more, and showing the world Your glory thru answered prayers for her situation.

Lord, comfort her and remind her of Your deep unyielding love for her that will guide and direct her thru this time of hardship. We, as her family in Christ, offer our prayers for her because we love her as well, as a sibling, and child of God. Be with her in the things to come Lord, and regardless of the road ahead help her to sit in Your rest first before walking thru the wall. Hold her hand and keep her from harm, we claim Your promise.... in Jesus name, AMEN!"

We are all here if you need us. There are prayer threads as well, and other counseling tools to help, try to search out those tools and if you need anything let us know ok?, we want to help if we can. My name is Dan and it has been a pleasure to meet you. I pray God will give you rest as you go to Him for rest.

Thank you so much. It is horrible. Everyone says I am grieving but it will get better. I have very strong faith but honestly it is the hardest thing to hold onto at times. I have cried off and on all week.

My mouth just Lee open. You quoted part of favorite verse Jer 29:11. I know God sent you to send me that message. You are the 4th or 5th time that verse has been used in helping me this week. Thank you again.

I suspect it is. I know what a broken heart is. Still, the Lord can make us feel good, no matter how bad things are. It might take a little time, but don't be afraid.

My heart breaks for you, and your children. I cannot imagine the pain you must be in after having shared so much of your life and yourself with this person, to have them walk away after twenty years together, and see an end to it as it was. I opened my book (The Essential Henri Nouwen) to a random place to find this for you on hope and joy:

When Jesus talks about the future or the end of this world, He describes wars, people in anguish, nation rising against nation, and earthquakes. There's no place where Jesus says of this present world, "One day we'll all be wonderful." He talks about enormous agony, but He says, (paraphrasing) you, my beloved ones, pray unceasingly, that you will keep your heart focused on me. Stand with your head wrapped in the presence of the Son of man. Don't get distracted by it all; remain focused.

Don't think that things will clean up and finally there won't be any more pain. Jesus is saying the world is dark and will remain dark, but if you live with hope, you can live very much in the present, because you can nurture the footprints of God in your heart and life. You already have a sense of what is to come, and the whole of the spiritual life is saying that God is right with us right now, so that we can wait for his coming, and this waiting is a waiting in hope.

Because we wait with hope we know that what we are waiting for is already here. We have to nurture that. Here and now matters because God is a god of the present. And God is God of the present because he is God of Eternity.

Hope is to open yourself up to let God do His work in the you in ways to transcend your own imagination. Allow yourself to be led to new places. For Jesus, joy is clearly a deeper and more truthful state of life than sorrow. He promises joy as a sign of new life. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn to joy. A woman in childbirth suffers, because her time has come; but when she has given birth to the child, she forgets the suffering in her joy that a human being has been born into the world. So it is with you: You are sad now, but I shall see you again, and your heart will be full of a joy that no one can take from you.

Hello! Sis :) Good morning! I just got up an hour ago... I was thinking if I'll gonna say good morning to you...I always come here and check on the new comers :) and hesitated a bit when I read broken...and I can imagine how hard and painful it is... after 20 years of marriage and...

Good morning because while I was writing this I believe that God can do the impossible...He is the restorer of all things. HE is the mender of broken hearts...and He can put it back , He can fix it again...and after this searing pain, joy will come again...God will be with you just leave it all to God and draw yourself more closer to HIM...Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

God bless you sis and your family.

Thank you for reminding me of that verse. So much hope in those words. I just wish I could wake up tomorrow and this would be over.
