Hello, I'm Lynn from South Africa.
I'm new to the chatsite and dedicated my life to God two weeks ago and I would like to receive guidance from more mature Christians, because there is so many information on the interweb I feel a bit lost.
thank you and God bless.
You will find many teachings on here as well. If I was to hand out any advice to a new born, it would be this.
Before you discard any teaching, or jump head long into any for that matter, be it mine, or Jim Smith. Pray that HaShem (God) will guide you in a study of his word. After all it is His Word, and not mine. He tells us,
Mat 23:10 And don't let anyone call you ‘Teacher,' for you have only one teacher, the Messiah.
Some will tell you this is right and that is wrong. Yet not many can show you what is right. The Spirit that rest in us, the one sent by Yeshua,(Jesus) shows us. Trust in Him, and not in man. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that one should never ask for the ideas of others, I am however saying that once heard, mans teaching should be tested.
A bit about my self, in hopes of letting you know what you can except from me. Before I ever turned my life over, I had to know what kind of being it was I would be following. I started in Gen. and read the Bible cover to cover. It was in the Torah, (first 5 books of the Bible) that I found my answer.
Now I see it as a kind of Profile, left for us to see just who HaShem is. It is with in His Laws, the order of creation, that I fond a truly loving, kind, and caring El. (El is another Hebrew word for God) Had it not been for Him being orderly, I would never have followed Him. Yet even with Him knowing that, He took me in, loved me, and help me to find the truth.
I say all this, as I wish to express, just how much we need to trust Him.
Any way, if I can answer question, I am happy to do so. In fact I live to do so. Serving others is kind of my way of giving my Life to Him. After all, He gave His life for me, the lest I can do is give mine to Him.
May HaShem bless you time here, and place at your feet the hearts and minds of all that truly serve Him.
