Hi, l've just joined and thought l should do a quick introduction. I'm in my mid fifties, married with 3 sons and l live in the eastern bit of the U.K. I'm currently looking for a new church, which is not easy as l have been a member of The Society of Friends ( Quakers) for most of my adult life, in the meantime l'm hoping to get to know some of you here ;)

***greetings from Texas***I would recommend Kensington Temple in London***Pastor Colin Dye----you're probably not close to this church, but if you call them they could recommend a church in your area...

Thanks for the recommendation - London is over a hundred miles away, which rules out Kensington Temple. I probably won't start out looking at Pentecostal churches , as l think that might be too much of a cultural shock after years of silent worship. I am actually interested in knowing if there are any other ex-Quakers on this board who have moved denomination, maybe l'll start a thread about it.

Welcome Lily Sue from the UK. Glad you joined. I hope to go to the UK next year. My friend's husband is from there and we have been trying to get me there for a few year. Can't wait to go.
