I'm James. I've loved God and Jesus for as long as I can remember. I came on this site to find friends and maybe advice. My wife just left me for someone else and I am in a depressed state right now. I could really use friendships and help.

Other things about me: I love being outside in the garden, I enjoy playing basketball with friends and I work as an accountant. I'm 30 years old! Haha I can't believe I'm no longer in my 20s. Any ways I hope to meet some nice people here. God bless!

Welcome to CC James! I'm sure you will meet many people here and will find friends among them. ~ I'm sorry to hear about your marital issue and I pray that God will give you "soul peace" as you walk out this part of life's "not so nice" journey.~ And about the 30's thing... pfffffft... just wait til you've hit your 50's... then you can gasp at the passing of time! ;) Again, welcome and I hope you enjoy your time on CC.

Welcome to CC, James!
I’m so sorry you’re going through a tough time. My heart ached as I read your post, and I know how painful it must be for you. I just said a prayer for you, asking the Lord to surround you with His loving presence and comfort you with His peace. Have you ever considered talking with a counselor? Do you think that's something that might be helpful for you personally? Remember that “the Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). He will never fail you or forsake you. May He be your ever-present help and may your confidence in His grace and goodness increase as you look to Him in faith. I hope you’ll enjoy your stay here. Blessings!

I can't believe that I'm no longer in my 50's. You will find no shortage of those that are willing to pray with you and offer practicable and spiritual advice and hopefully become friends with as well. Sorry to hear about your marital situation. There are others here that can tell a similar story so please know that you're not alone. Glad to have you join us. Welcome to CC.

I am so sorry to read about your breakup James; life after something like this can be quite dangerous. What I mean is there are some who go to one extreme or another and make bad choices that lead to depression, a loss in faith etc. Are you divorced, is there a chance at reconciliation, is she a Christian?

Finding God's Will | Focus on the Family, finding God’s will, an article and this book, http://bit.ly/2eCZDfJ, Leaving your past behind you…both are great resources and the article has additional links in different directions that may be of great use to you, especially if you and your wife aren’t divorced.

It’s not the end of the world James, I know it feels this way, I’ve had a few breakups where it didn’t seem like there was anything else to live for, a why bother attitude. Put your trust and faith in Christ, know that He is leading you to a greater understanding of your life; pain is the fire honing us into a better tool for God’s use! I will pray for your situation James!
