Hi..im new here and would like to make good friends that can always chat me up and help me draw closer to God.i lost my Mum in the month of may and ever since i havent been myself.i find it difficult to even Pray..i really want to serve God

It's good to hear that you want to serve God. Sorry you recently lost your mom. I know how hard it is to lose a parent. This is a good place for fellowship and possibly make good friends. Glad to have you join us. Welcome to CC.

Welcome to Christian Chat, Ojb. It was painful when my Dad died back in 1989. However, I know I can always talk to the Lord, I have a supportive church, and I know I'll see my dad again. It doesn't hurt anymore. Dad is a pleasant memory.

Aww, I'm so sorry Ojb that you just recently lost your Mum. I have a friend who journaled when her husband passed away and she said it helped her immensely. I don't know if that sounds like something you'd want to do, but just thought I'd throw that idea out there.

Welcome to the CC forums ..... maybe being here will help you to get through losing your Mum so recently.

I'll say a prayer that you sense the comfort of the Holy Spirit surrounding you. If you can't pray, read the scriptures out loud as a prayer to the Lord. I do that when I'm in a lot of pain and it really helps me get through it.

If you need a shoulder to cry on, please feel free to PM me. There's a lot of friendly people around here as well that can help you too.

I'm sorry to hear you lost your mother. Hang in there, God is faithful, and in the midst of your hardship, as you cast your cares to him, he will give you peace- he did for me.
