We have a forum area, and a live chat room.
The forums, which is where you are now, is a slower way of interacting as answers can take minutes or hours. But it also provides a broader range of topics and an easier sense of being included.
The live chats tend to have topics dictated by the most active users, usually those with a microphone. So discussions are more dictated by those people.
There are multiple chat rooms, but most are turned off, except for people who donate. They are not heavily used, though. But there are 2-3 available for free. I believe the mic and PMing are also donation restricted.
I would suggest the forums might be an easier way to get answers or help.
A 'general' sort of area would be the Miscellaneous Forums.
If you are using a laptop or pc when you go to the main page (hit the sites logo in the top left) there will be a blue button on that screen that says Chat Now! near the top of the page. This is for entering the live chats. But you will need the most up to date version of Adobe Flash for it to work.
If you are using a phone or tablet the appearance of the site may seem different for the mobile version.
