New to this

I am joining this board to make some friends in christ. I have been a seminary student for coming up on 4 years. I am in an MDiv program. My original goal was to counsel women and marriages alongside my beloved husband. We created a no cost Christian marriage ministry 6 years ago. We counseled countless couples. My husband was diagnosed with a terminal brain disease two years ago. It hasn't been the same since. The Lord has healed him greatly. For 18 months, my husband could not walk or talk. He was bedridden and my family and I (3 children) prepared for his passing. Three months ago, the Lord miraculously restored his speech and ability to walk. We are beyond grateful. Yet, my husband still suffers from a brain disease. It has been a lonely two years. We have endured 10 hospital stays, 2 hospice teams, and horrible loss and suffering. The Lord has used this to prepare me to help others.

I would love love to meet several christian friends to share my innermost thoughts with. I would love to come alongside others who are suffering. Around a year ago, the Lord put on my heart to have a tubal ligation reversal and have another child. I regret ever having the ligation since the day I received the procedure some ten years ago. I was not the same person back then.

Currently, I am experiencing PTSD symptoms from the past 18 months. I am depressed and anxious at times. I look forward to the Lord's healing.

You certainly have been through a lot standing beside your husband these many years. Most of us look forward to God's healing and I have said a prayer for yours. I'm impressed with how your marriage ministry is progressing and for your years of study. Glad to have you join us. Welcome to CC.
