I used to view Hazel Motes from the film (or book) Wise Blood as a hero of mine.

I still have a considerable distaste for religious charlatans, but now I believe that there is healing and salvation through Christ. I've only been walking the path for about ten months and I fully admit there is plenty of warfare going on in my soul. My current favorite Christian book is probably The Divine Conspiracy.

I'm not much in to current Christian music. I'll listen to old time stuff, but the newer music gets on my nerves. It basically sounds like generic adult contemporary. I used to watch vast numbers of films, but not so much anymore (and, no, I don't usually like Christian films). Mostly I read.

Welcome here you can discuss with bible smart people and possibly make new friends, hope you like it here!
Also I appreciate your honesty, and I don't watch many Christians movies either particularly because many are biblically "inaccurate" once again welcome and join in a discussion sometime and it doesn't have to a serious one!

Reading is a good thing. I used to be an avid reader but my job wears me out a lot so I try to read a little on my days off. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

I forgot to mention that my favorite book of the Bible is Ecclesiastes. Otherwise I tend to favor Paul's writings . Or really any of the epistles. I probably don't revisit the Gospels as much as I should.
