Hey jam,
Sorry to hear about your struggles, hope things improve.
Where is your husband? I think God antisipated the struggles of a single parent,
thats why he instituted marrage first. Its a full time job to work outside the home, and leaves little to no time or effort to look after things in the home, while on the same note, looking after things in the home, is a full time in itself and leaves little to no room to work outside the home.
Thats why God created marrage and rolls for both people, that the man is to work in the fields (outside the home) his job and duty is to provide the financial resources to look after the home and his family, providing their basic needs of food clothing and shelter. While the wifes jobs and duties are to look after things in the home, the cooking, the cleaning, and the babysitting.
Thats why men are physically minded, they look for the things that bring them honour and glory. They were made to be wanted and needed, its part of the spiritual needs they have. While women are more spiritual minded, they are more loving and nurturing and look for small jestures of appreciation and things of sentimental value. Thats part of their spiritual wants and needs.
I'm glad to find this chat room and forum. I'm a single mother with two teenage sons. Right now I am working with a brand new little church plant with visions of eventually having a community center, shelter, and clinic.
My sons and I have a lot of personal struggles, individually and together as a family. We are making it though, and keep trying to move forward.
