Jess - I am new here.

I will introduce myself. I am from the Midwest and grew up near the Ohio River Valley. I have been married for over 18 years and have 3 children. My professional background is in natural resources, law enforcement and search & rescue. I grew up in an evangelistic protestant church and had a conservative Christian upbringing.

My purpose to join Christianchat.com is to find Christian friends who will encourage and uplift me. I also hope someday God will help me to be an encouragement to others and use me in some way. I want God to use me again.

I have to say I do not have many Christian friends. Actually… I have no true friends at all. That is a long story. Over the past few years I have really been going thru the fire. I have suffered from the selfishness of others, I have been betrayed, hurt and brought to my knees with a complex web of problems. I say complex because so many of my problems are connected to the others and each one effects the other. I am praying God will begin to unravel this tangled mess as He is the only one who can.

Wow! That is some introduction. But, I am just being honest. I am “seeking” out friends who will truly care and lift me up in prayer and I am hoping to find good information. I guess this is my not-so- subtle cry for help. I hope I can contribute as well. As I heal and recover I want to be used by God too.

Please continue to pray for me as I try to recover from a very dark place in my life.

Perhaps God has steered you to this site for a reason. Many lasting friendships have been formed here and hopefully this will be true for you as well. I have found myself in a tangled mess too a few times in my life. This type of mess can only be untangled and resolved by the grace, mercy and compassion of the Lord. I admit I am not the best at navigating these things. I am a bit technology impaired. Right now I am trying to figure out how to find my way around the website. Be patient with me. Any tips? Does it come with a tutorial? LOL

If you are on a PC near the top of the page click on FAQ. Also, at the top of the page listing the forums click on Chatroom Rules. This should help a little. The best way to learn is to just start clicking on things and see what happens. This is what I did. I'm a bit technology impaired as well.

But I'll try Go to setting if you want to edit your profile picture,profile avatar (this is the small image you see on the left side of my comment) you can edit your profile info, friends and contacts etc



Now if you want to reply each comment...for example you want to reply my comment...click "reply with quote" and write your message comment yayy my English vocabulary is limited so that's all for today

Hey Jess, Welcome! I have just one question: is that a German Shepherd in that picture? A gsd in the avatar earns you immediate brownie points with me .

I can't see it very well (no glasses either, tsk tsk), that's why I ask. But it does look kinda chunky for some German Shepherds, for a fact.

I used a generic picture of a ranger/natural resource officer. For privacy and security I do not give out my real name on the internet or post pictures of me/family. This allows me to be somewhat anonymous. So, to answer your question that photo is an unknown officer and k9. Sorry. I am just cautious about on-line stuff.
