Here some people in CC are harsh on me because I mentioned that I am non Christian..Yes i know Ten commandments..first commandment is our lord said you shall have no other god before me. I am reading and learning bible. I was born in another religion. I came to know more about Jesus Christ last December 2016 through The Holy Bible which I received from a pastor near by home. I think I have to learn more about Jesus christ and meditate bible before I get baptism. Is it good to say lie here that I am Christian..without taking baptism?

Well some in CC are hard on everyone.

You can say you're Christan as soon as you believe in Jesus. You don't have to wait.

Hello Hemanth.

People become Christians when they believe Jesus and trust they are forgiven by God of their sins through the execution that Jesus suffered for them.. taking part in a water baptisim is just a public show of what has already happened in our hearts and minds..

It is sad to hear someone has not treated you well at CC.. But people are just people and they do fail to live up to the loving standards of Jesus.. May they be forgiven..

You will find that there may be different opinions on some of the questions you may have.. Make sure what ever answers you recieve from other people, that you talk to God through rayer and ask Him to help you understand the Bible and know when the advice you recieve from people is the good advice / correct answer..

May you be greatly blessed by God Hemanth.. It is good to see a genuine seeker who is looking into the Word of God.. :D

No there is nothing wrong with what you are more comfortable with,if you feel you are still a non believer then keep that status.
People no matter believer or non believer will be harsh with the bible because so many are sure on what they believe, just focus on what you want from here, you said you want to learn more about Jesus and the bible before baptism this is actually quite wise, because you should first understand what baptism means.
Many people get pushed into baptism and it does nothing for them because they don't know the promise it holds so it does nothing, because it's all about realizing Jesus died for everyone's sins and that you would like your sins forgiven and sort of start over in life.

Every person on CC also was not a Christian when they first started reading the Bible.

Don't be upset about someone else.

Hemanth,
I think that if you read the bible more carefully, especially the New Testament, you'll find this command about obeying your mother and father applies to many things, but not absolutely everything.

No matter what our parents think, we are still commanded to follow God.
And if you are a believer in Christ, then you actually BELONG to God now.

You should still be polite and respectful to your parents.
But we have to follow God, even if our parents don't agree.
You'll find Jesus talking about these things in the New Testament.

If your parents are EXTREMELY opposed to Christianity,
then you're really going to need some help and friendship from other Christians in your area.

The Christians in your area will be able to give you better advice on how to carefully, and respectfully, deal with family issues.

You could easily have a lot of problems in India which we don't have in Europe or North America... so we aren't the best ones to counsel you. You'll really need to meet with other believers in your area, and get help and advice from them.

Our Parents do not out rank God Hemanth.. Yes we must treat our parents with respect, But if honouring them means we are dishonoring God then we must change so that God takes the primary honour..

As I read through your thread, I was reminded of an ex-Muslim friend of mine. Let me correct that, ex-Islamist. Happily he is still Muslim.
Anywho, the reason your thread brought Him to mind, is that he was so worried about what his family would do if he told them he had even read the Bible, add to that he had turned from Islam, and embraced Yeshua. He kept it from his family for about 2 years. One day we were talking, and it came up what baptism was. That led to,
Mat 10:33 “But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
It was finding an understanding of this passage and it's implications, that led this friend to asking his family to come for his baptism. His mom showed up, along with his sister. His dad on the other hand told him he was dead to him. His family spelt up, and it was not pretty in anyway at all. His mom and sister in time also came to know Yeshua, they now speak out boldly about the evil of Islam, and how they now feel freed from bondage.
I don't pass this on to discourage you, rather to encourage you. You see this friend used his knowledge of Islam to get his dad to see how wrong it was. His dad, who I worked with at that time, also talked about how tolerant Islam was of other religions. How it was in the Koran and so on. His son, has used to point out the wrong in what his dad does, and how he acts toward others.
I do hope this helps you in some way.

How can he still be a muslim if he has accepted Jesus as His LORD and Redeemer ? If He accepted Jesus as His Lord and Saviour then he cannot still be a muslim..

muslim is not a nationality... muslim is a follow of the religion of islam..
Yet not all Muslim's follow Islam, and not all followers of Islame are Muslim. I happen to know many Muslim's that are in fact followers of Yeshua.
