Hi, my name’s Alex and I’ve joined here hoping to find some Christian fellowship. I’m a forty something living in Aberdeen having had a painful separation from my family and would value anyone who’s suffered similarly. It’s tough being a Christian having married another Christian before the eyes of God but not having a future together.

I’m a fun person despite this sombre introduction so don’t pass me by thinking I’m looking for a tartan themed pity party!

Welcome to CC, Alex. I pray that your time here on CC will be as blessed as it has been for me.

I hope you will find your way around here, and that you will find people with great humour, wisdom, compassion and love.

Here is my quick guide to this place:
If you want to be serious and attacked from left and right, you go to the Bible discussion forum.
If you want to hang out speaking nonsense, you go to the Singles forum.
If you want a head ache, you go to the chat rooms.
If you want to pour your heart out, you write blog.
If everything feels wrong, you can write a poem.
If you want to try to get to know someone, you can try to PM them. But don't expect an answer.

See you around.

Hello Alexaberdeen,
I also am fairly new to this site... not new to the Lord ... however I am walking in my calling.. currently I am married to my crazy Vietnam vet ..but that's OK I'm crazy too (also a vet from a different battleground ) lol ... he is my soul mate...

In my first marriage, I thought I had married a believer...he knew the Word ... he professed to know Jesus... I was young, innocent, and naive when I fell blindly in love with him... I stopped working and quit being a student at a major university... I became a stay at home mom to our (my) 4 sons... he would drug me then rape me allowing other men to do as they please... anyhow, he had various affairs... I too had broken our vows with two affairs... I was disgusted with myself and stop ... I told him the truth and he denied what he had done... at that point I became a born again Christian... I was Catholic only by name but never in my heart... nonetheless, he punished me until the day he died...he sold me to porn sites... drugged me ... gang raped me ... filmed it ... sold it... until they had perforated my uterus causing me to have an emergency hysterectomy ... although I did not know this was happening at the time my Spirit knew.... I prayed constantly... I could not even trust him with my boys....
When he died by his own hands it was a blessing... I do not say this with any hurt feelings, or bitterness, or anger...
The Lord is truly healing and restoring me!!!!!

I share this with you so that you may know that the Lord hears your prayers
He hears your cries
He knows your pain
Continue to seek Him first and foremost... ask Him if what I say is true.... ask Him if the advice you get is from He who created you...
He is always listening... 24/7
He answers all prayers, we just have to accept His answer...
well that's enough from me ... if you would like me to write a blessing to you then just ask
God bless

My goodness that’s an amazing story and inspiring given all you’ve gone through. I do seek Him fervently in prayer and believe He is guiding me but the emptiness waking every day without my family is very real. A blessing would be lovely thank you.

May He who is in you greater than he who is in the world shine bright for all to see that you are indeed a child of the Most High God King of kings Lord of lords... may He who is in you fill you with His presence right now , as you read this , so that you may know without a doubt that He who created you is speaking to you and not me .... may He make you to be the man He so created , the husband, for He says that a man shall leave his parents to marry his wife, that the two shall become one and bring forth Godly offspring...... may He comfort you and soothe you for He has you craved in His palm.... may He strengthen the bond for He says that what God has put together let no man put asunder..... may He extend this blessing to your wife, your whole family and generations to come.... may He make you to be a fearless strong warrior in His mighty army.... may He strengthen you and help you and uphold you with His righteous righthand..... may He bless you and keep you that you may dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever... this I do ask in Jesus name Amen Amen Amen........

Sorry for the late reply to your blessing... I caught a bug... lol.... I am praying for you , your family, and your generations to come.... if you have any more prayer requests please contact me ..... warrior319.......
God bless

Hi, my name’s Alex and I’ve joined here hoping to find some Christian fellowship. I’m a forty something living in Aberdeen having had a painful separation from my family and would value anyone who’s suffered similarly. It’s tough being a Christian having married another Christian before the eyes of God but not having a future together.

I’m a fun person despite this sombre introduction so don’t pass me by thinking I’m looking for a tartan themed pity party!

Aberdeen! Isn't that the city with lots of granite, or is it another Scottish city? I do not know if I can have much to do with someone who most likely eats haggis, but I will do my best to get oer myself. Right, and why not, I am of a clan y way of my father.....
