Hi there my name is Tim and I am pushing 60 so im at that stage in life when my speech filters are wearing at and i say stuff without thinking what people will think of me - in short I am answerable to only God in the grand scheme of things and do not care if I hurt feelings or offend some. As long as what i say is true and according to scripture
I have lived in over 15 counties around the world and have lived in a predominately Muslim county since 03 and before that was involved with the Serbs who where ethnically cleansing their territories of Muslims , so I have lived the whole gamut.
I was raised /German Lutheran and attended Lutheran schools until my escape in the 9th grade. I became a Christian shortly after my escape and was part of the charismatic movement in Germany. I left that fellowship after the unsustainable high subsided and backslid for years and ended up with another full gospel fellowship in Japan and again got destroyed because i had my eyes on the leaders and not Christ. After that i did a HARD backslide and breathed fire against Muslims and South America and the Philippines ending up with the RSK 'Pale" Serb Military during the conflicts with the
Bosnian and Croats.
After a brief stint in Guatemala God showed his sense of humor and I ended up with the Kurdish Pesh Merga - the vast majority Muslims with some Yazidi and few Christians.
It is with these Muslims that I have come to a better understanding of Christ and my personal relationship with God.
ISIS and the radical Islamists have informed my opinion on the Christian "Church"
The reason I am in this forum is not to get my understandings validated or to be "correct" but to check my conclusions and to possibly ferret out beliefs i now hold that are unscriptural
I hold a law degree and the only thing that degree has ever done for me is to teach me to objectivly look at the evidence > weight the two sides> and make a decision based on that evidence.
when I do that - too often i come to loggerheads with Religion and Church . I hope to start posting these seemingly conflicting conclusions with out pissing everyone off - But again - I have worn out speech filters
