I introduced myself 1/2 a hour didnt get one reply. the new guy above me posted 8 mns ago and got 8 reply. Whats up with that?

one thing could be; the posts that are posted in appear high up in the "latest posts" area, so people notice it more easily (so if no-one was there right after you posted, but then they were there after that person posted, that might happen)
