I am new here but have a question and would love to hear some sound biblical opinions. My husband and I have 2 beautiful children a girl who will be 5 next month and a son who will be 2 in August. We never questioned having the both of them but now we are on the fence with having number 3. On one hand I would love to just say lets just go with it and see what happens. On the other hand how much control do we really have when it comes to birth control options? If God wants us to have another child is it going to happen anyway? So should we just "go with it"(this is a best I can put it without getting graphic) and is that just being plan down irresponsible? I have done a ton of growing in my faith in a passed year and I am doing much better in letting God be in control but where does the lines between God's plan and natural science come in?

I think God gave us free will.

Personally I don't think birth control is a bad thing. People say its ok to use medicine and science to cure premature babies, etc. wouldn't it also be good to prevent the mother from dying through the use of birth control, or allowing you to concentrate on the children you already have?

If you want to have another child that is fine and if you don't that is good too. The Bible talks about birth control, the only surefire one that works: Abstinence.

It also says if your married having martial relations with your spouse is Godly and just and should be done.

therefore if God approves of one type of birth control then why not others for the benefit of your family.

Face it no man made thing can stop God from giving you another baby if He wants you to have one. Remember the story of the Virgin birth? see even abstinence isn't 100% if God wills it to be otherwise. lol

Welcome to CC, CWFrog.

You don’t just sit back and let the Lord take over. You have responsibilities.
