No one but your own heart will convince you here. You are here because you want someone to convince you that you are loved by God. You are indeed loved by God. That is why you are here because he drew you by his spirit. This is no coincidence.

Christianity is based on Faith, you will not get your proof because God will not jump through hoops for anyone. If you want him then you
must make that choice to believe in him. He wants to show you and bless you with how much he loves you.

There are no stones or statues or rosaries, or things of the Earth that God will choose to prove himself in.

God is a God of faith, Faith is what moves him.

When you pray to him believe in your heart and ask him, truly, then he will answer your prayer, because of love. Because he loves you

and he desires to give you the things of heaven.

No one but your own heart will convince you here. You are here because you want someone to convince you that you are loved by God. You are indeed loved by God.No, I would like to see if someone can prove to me that God exists, not that he loves me. I feel obligated to please some of my family members by becoming a Christian, that is why I am here. Billigerent Christians who won't give up. I am here to find a second opinion. Unfortunately, as I predicted, the second opinion is the same as the first opinion. That is why you are here because he drew you by his spirit. Once again, it seems as though God has the ability to alter the will of man via the spirit. I guess that's the exception to Christian free will. Actions of the spirit are different than the actions of God. This is no coincidence. You're right, I turned on my computer, I thought, "who might have an answer about God or a better understanding of the bible. Where could I find enlightenment from others which I haven't found in my current reseach and hearings of Christianity and likewise, other Christians?" I typed the words "christian chat room" into google. I clicked this site, I signed in, I started this Thread. Certainly not a coincidence. Try is yourself. It's the top result for Google.

Summary of what you've said.
[[[
/God acts through the Spirit to affect the will of humans.
/Everything happens for a reason, therefore life is predetermined and we've no free will. Now one asks the question, [[["Why would God create something of which he knows the result?"
&
\God loves you, and wants to bless you. XOXOXOOOOXXOXOOX <- Not in a romantic way.
/This last part is a nice and kind sentiment, but there is no way to know it and it is a choice to experience it. A choice which is based on a belief which is based in an opinion. I don't agree with that sequence of logic. Too many flaws, and no method to verify your claims.

Dear Lovesong,

Wow, your name tells all...

I have reposted this, but here is why I don't believe in prayer. I would agree much more with praise, but prayer hardly makes sense and this is why I think that.

Thanks, but that task has already been completely.
Also, I tried speaking outloud to the Spirit, there's never any answer. I am not going to pretend that some part of my life was the answer.
If there is not a prompt answer the entire exercise is fruitless because the probability that something in my life (THE ANSWER FROM GOD/JESUS/HOLY SPIRIT) will appear, increases, exponentially. I tested this in an experiment once. I set a prayer time asking for guidance in a matter. Then I constantly waited for something that seemed like the answer, a day past then another, yet the moment the matter was somewhat resolved I instantly believed my pray was answered. I did this for a month. Marking the start dates of prayers and the resolution dates. It was clear as time passes, the likely hood of an answered prayer increases exponentially. Most prayers were answered when anything good happened, because prayers are so ambigious, some not at all. The number of prayers answered increases the further from the origin date you are. My old papers looked like this where I kept tally. i.e. {day, prayers answered) (0,1) (1,1) (2,3) (3,5) (4,7) (5,9) (6,15) etc. i.e. probability of answered prayer increases closer to always answered or 1 if the process could be continued infinitely, i.e. {day, probability answered} (0,1/33) (1,1/33) (2,2/33) (3,1/11) (4,5/33) (7/33) (3/11) (5/11) ...etc -->
As you can see it's statistically likely that a prayer will eventually be answered. As the amount of time spent waiting for an answer increases, so does the likelyhood that it will be answered.
The real question is, are they everyday events were you have the will to change and affect them or does God manipulate or influence the lives of human beings?

Your family members won't save you, who you know won't save you either, its your belief in Christ that ultimately saves you.

I'm sorry you feel this way, and I'm sorry If nobody knows how to explain everything to you the way you want to hear it.

Maybe you are looking for religion alone... but all I can say is if you need prayer I would be happy to agree with you that God might prove to you himself how real he is to you alone.

By chance... do you know how to delete an account on this forum? I have tried contacting the moderators and haven't had a response so far.

Your right it's a choice believe or not to believe that is the question. I've read, researched and listened to many Christians about Christianity. I think I have done all I can do in this matter. It's time a turn my mind to other things. It's...quoting an English expression well known from an aersosmith song, "the same old story same old song and dance." and to paraphrase a Madea movie...

;) "Sometimes you just gotta let it go. Sometimes I'm around people, but you know. You just gotta let go."

The only thing I can share that probably won't make sense anyway is my testimony...

The person I love was an atheist...before I met him, yet I kept dreaming of him, and he kept bothering me I never understood why, he kept telling me he loved me though at first I never believed him, till one day he and I wrote poems to each other and he said he was going to die and be sent to hell because of his ex...he wanted help he wanted mercy. In my desperation, because I was in love with him, I fell to my knee's and prayed night and day for him. I never seen any proof of that prayer, right away but God brought up scriptures in my spirit. These scriptures gave me hope for him.

I had to be obedient and I didn't know what was going to happen to him. It turns out he lived but he had to give up alot of things because of Christ, and I'm sure he was persecuted for his faith.

God saved his life, and is still working on him. I know God will continue to heal him and bring him peace.

It might not be a big giant testimony but at the time I was desperate and in need of a savior and Jesus came to my rescue. I know God is gonna show himself to the one I love because of his faithfulness to complete what he promised.

(sorry this is so long lol)

anyway, Don't be discouraged because of a few setbacks on prayer.

Well I'll pray for you that you indeed find what your looking for. :)

Maybe just announce to people that there is no more to talk about here and thats it. Then the mods will lock it for you.

Interesting testament. He must have really liked you, but I don't see what the point of that was...very irrelevant in many ways.

I know it is, I'm really sorry about that, I did kind of smash three years into a tiny paragraph. Its just my testimony of love and being in love, that I thought I'd share with you thats all. I happen to be random like that at times. :)

Take care
