God loves you and created you. He knows the very number of hairs on your head. He cares to know you that well. He died for you. And that alone is nothing less than a spectacular reason to live for Him, in my opinion.

:) But the choice is, of course, yours to make.

God bless.

Well, you should not become a Christian for the sake of becoming one, but because you want to be with God.

God loves you, He wants you to follow Him, He wants you to let Him into your life. If you accept the sarifice Jesus made (believe He died and rose, for your sins, and ask Him into your life), you are by definition a Christian. But that is not what is important, the important part is this:

When you believe in Jesus, and acept him as Lord, you are heir of the Kingdom of God!
When you ask forgiveness for your sins they are not only taken away, but forgotten.
You will be "a new creature". Imagine, all of that just for making the choise of being a child of God :)
- Now I think that is a good deal, eh?

Yes, if you want an eternal abundant life!

John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

You are God most special creation and He loves you with His eternal love. :)
He also loved us even though we did bad things in life (we choose the wrong desitions and turn our backs to God, but He still loved us!) Romans 5:8
He forgave you and died for you in the cross so you could have the chance to accept Him as your saviour and be free from eternal death in hell. John 3:16
Christianity means following Christ and trying to be like Him. Being less like us and more like Jesus. If you accept Jesus christ now as your saviour I can garantee you that you will have blessings in your life, a brotherhood in Christ (cause you will attend to a church who will provide you a place to cope with your problems and get your questions answered) and you will obey Him and you'll be blessed and you will choose the right desitions in life according to God's will.

You should definitely become a Christian, because the retirement package is "out of this world" - Matthew 5:11-12

Sphense, I hope you read these posts :). There are a lot of good ones here telling you of the abundant life God gives us when we accept Jesus as our Savior (and eternal life also; it's a win-win offer, Sphense!). Also, I sent you a PM a week ago, but you haven't opened it, so please log in if you're reading this and want more info. -Jill

I skimmed through the thread but my striving reason to become Christian... was TRUTH, and in Truth there is knowledge and wisdom and God has not failed me in delivering.

Jeremiah 33:3 Call upon me and I shall show you great and mighty things that thou knowest not.

I'm not sure if its open to non-christians tho, pray for him, invite him into your heart, he loves you

This question can be hard or easy for people. For me I believe everyone is a Christian to start off with as I believe God created the earth and us. However you are called a non-believer or Athiest if you don't . Some don't believe at first then they do later in life and some start believing and then circumstances make them stop believing. Being a Christian is very confusing when everyone has a different opinion about it and only yourself know how you feel. Do you believe in the 10 commandments? If you relate that to real life they are sins .But if you believe that God and Jesus will help save you and you ask them for guidance , you are already a believer , because non-believers generally don't think about prayers . Hope this helps and this is based on my personal thoughts. God Bless.

eheh I can tell you there's no greater choice than that, but only if you do this experience in it's totality =) If the change doesn't start from your inside, there's no difference, it's just a new religion =) But God answers to those who are really in seek of the truth ;)

well for one hell sucks...
peace is pretty neat
the voices in your head stop...

all in all there are a bunch more pros then cons, but for the most i remember the words of paul he said "God is reconciling the world to Himself, be reconciled to God" so there you go its your choice :) either way bro welcome hope you enjoy your stay!
