Hi, Im Joe. Hows it going? I became a christian when i was 24 but i never read the bible and find it hard? Is Satan stopping me from reading the bible. I find it alot easier to read new age books to be honest but maybe i should have a go at the bible. I just feel like its really old and find it difficult to relate with. Anyway, let me know what you think. Cheers. Joe

I think that bible is the life source and it can lead us to the truth, at least can repair our character :)

Yes, you really need to read the Bible Joe :)

Satan has built a stronghold in your mind against it. I had the same problem...still do sometimes when I'm holding resentment in my heart.

When we have a tough time opening up the bible it means that WE REALLY NEED TO READ THE BIBLE ;) .

There are timeless lessons in God's Word. History has a tendency to repeat itself and reading how God deals with the rebellious Israelites is very instructive to Christians. Many other wonderful gems to be mined...especially in the Gospels.

Praying for that stronghold to be knocked down for you so you can share in the blessings of God's letter to mankind :)

Like u I am a new member. So let me help if i can, I have read the whole Bible 7 times, and yes it was hard the frist time i did it. What help me was I found a daily reading plan that I liked . I am useing
Through the Bible in a year.
Went to the christian book store and found it. I read my Bible frist thing in the morning when i get up with a cup of coffee. Before my crazy day starts lol, it take from 30 mins to 45 mins to read. Once u get started it will become a habit and it will be so much easier for u. So don't give up u just have to find the time that best for u and the plan that work's for u.
