Mercy is admittedly a nom de plume, but if I had the chance to name myself, it would be a top choice, and rather fitting, I think, for this site.
I am a recent college graduate. I triple majored in history, American Studies, and Education. I went to a small, private Catholic College in Philadelphia, but I've since moved to Northern Arizona and I live and work on the Navajo Nation Indian Reservation as a volunteer with a mission organization.
While I attended a Catholic school and now work for one, I am not Catholic, and I am struggling to find an identity in the Christian world. I call myself Christian, and I am, but in terms of religion, I would call myself more spiritual. I frequently talk to God, and I see Him more as a friend, and conversations tend to be easy with him.
It's kind of hard to sum up my relationship with God, but I am happy to say that it is good.
I joined this site to meet other people, to gain friends, to engage in some interesting discussions and try and learn a little bit more about my faith and those who also worship.
I tend to be quirky, inquisitive and honest. My passions besides teaching involve nature, social justice and religious studies. I hope to meet some like minded people here!
