hey everyone i go to a private christian school and we are discussing deuteronomy ch 15:1-11 i was kind of wonder which verse you guys find to sum up ch 15 the most i am stuck either between v 10 or v 11

10 Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. 11 There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.

I dont think you can use one verse to sum up a biblical precept...this part of Deuteronomy was God's way of making provision for the poor...there was no national pensions or benefits in this nation so the poor were dependant upon the provisions that God made in His laws and in the structure of families and the giving of alms

Welcome to CC guy.
Since this section is for new users to tell about themselves, you may want to move your question to a more fitting section, such as the Bible Forums. You will also more likely get more responses there.

So, to introduce yourself you could start by explaining why you're a girl named guy.
