I urge you to seek the truth with all your heart and soul, do not join a church, study the word yourself and get grounded in the truth before you can be assured you are in the faith!

let us put on the armor of light!
Rom 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
Rom 13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
Rom 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.
Putting on the Lord Jesus Christ is more than trusting in something that never happened. Many will say being IN Christ is like Him covering us in a magical cloak, where being IN Christ covers our wanton behavior and willful rebellion against God. AKA imputed righteousness.
But we are commanded to walk honestly, every day, and not in willful rebellion and sin, guarding our hearts from the snare of the devil, who wants nothing more than for the children of God to fall away and be led down the wrong path.
Putting on Christ is like putting on a garment, a cover or protector of your body, but putting on Christ is not a cover to become our righteousness, because we were born sinners, and unable to do anything right this side of heaven.
But by putting Him on and walking in His strength, power, and example, we can thus make no provision for the flesh, as we stand fast in the truth, hiding the word in our hearts, and keeping ourselves pure and undefiled from the world and its vain attractions!
You must cast off the works of darkness, and put on the armor of light! This can only come as you break up the fallow ground of your heart, come broken and contrite before the mercy seat of God, assuming nothing as you come clean(pure) through real godly sorrow producing repentance unto salvation!
2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
Tommy
PS, do not keep this garment in the closet; it must be put on, which is a command for us to do daily, as we walk in the spirit, giving no provision for the flesh. The garment of Christ will not work if we don’t work with it, by yielding to His will and authority, forsaking all temptation that we encounter every day, and walking in the truth that transforms the heart as we work out our salvation with fear and trembling, and live a Holy life unto Him!
2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
2Co 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
