Hello everyone, I'm new. And I need your help. I can't stop drinking. Heavily.

I have spoken with God for years. I have attended church inconsistently. I have struggled to develop my relationship any further than just speaking to him when I go to bed at night. I want to feel the passion that real Christians feel. But I just don't feel it.
I know that my drinking is terribly out of control. No one knows about it, not really. I don't understand why God hasn't helped me stop. And I apologise to God for saying that, buts thats how I feel. And I'm typing this drunk.

What did God tell you the last time you spoke to Him?

Hello. Thank you so much for talking to me. I don't know what God said the last time I spoke with him. I struggle to really hear. I never know if its him or my own thoughts.

What did you think you heard?

I am not asking idly. Drink is often a self-medication for taking a wrong turn somewhere on your life-path. God might have given you the answer. We may be able to help you hear and fix the problem. I'll be gone for an hour or so in about 10 minutes.

How will you help me hear? I could cry, that's the most wonderful thing I've heard in a long time.

So cry. That's God if that's what you are hearing to do. I'm sure of that. Some call it the gift of tears.

I am used to working with others to hear God and discern. And that's what I think He is telling me for your case. There are other people on this site I work with also. No promises, but we will try to help. If you feel more comfortable by private message, I will look at it as soon as I return in an hour.
