Hey guys

My boyfriend of a year and half just passed away. He was a Christian. And I have had this question haunting me for the last couple weeks: is there any chance at all that Adam (my deceased boyfriend) and I will still love each other in heaven? Minus the label "boyfriend and girlfriend", is there any chance of hoping that our companionship will last in heaven? I love him so much and I just want to know that there is still hope for our love. Keep in mind that I know there is no marriage etc. in heaven.

God bless you guys <3

As long as you have the father in your heart throughtout your life, you will be able to be with him again for all of eternity. May my condolences be with you. Your boyfriend is gonna be watching down over you every day of your life making sure that you are still happy and safe. May God be forever with you,and just remember this.....God ONLY accepts angels

I think that Heaven is pure love. You will love him but at another level, a higher level not just as you love him on the earth.
Welcome yo CC

Sorry for your loss, but I don't know how God works in that way that you say...in how we are able to have that type of relationship with our loved ones. I'm sure that there is yes, as you guys have said nothing but love in heaven. However, I wouldn't go as far to say as he will be watching over you and like I said I'm not sure about my complete stance on reconnection with those you love in that sense. Even though we'll have new bodies, I don't know why God would put you with someone you loved, because then wouldn't you LOVE them in every way? Keep in mind God wouldn't tempt anyone. @speedracer, As great as that sounds, nowhere in the bible does it mention that loved ones watch over us. Only God, Angels, and other things he sends can watch us. God accepts those who believe in his name, that accept he's the savior of our sins, and those who accept him as the only God into their hearts and live by that. I was confused on your post.

Hello Megskelley...like many others on this site, I know what it is like to lose someone you TRULY LOVED! When my big brother died, I just didn't know how I was going to make it and it was literally five years before I could just think of him without tears swelling in my eyes and my heart literally aching. I needed the Lord to heal my heart and it took some time but He did it and he will do it for you. Go ahead and take your time to mourn, because it is needful, but you must allow the Lord to heal your heart and emotions from this and move on eventually. This idea of you dreaming of meeting him in heaven will only hinder another relationship God may have in store for you. Now, I know at this moment you are thinking, but I could never fall in love with another, and you may not even want to right now. But God had other plans for Adam and we are just grateful that he died a believer in the arms of Christ. With that said, God has other plans for you as well. I use to think about hooking up with my brother in heaven, but now... after the Lord has healed my emotions and my heart and since that time I have continued to develop my relationship with Christ...if I see him there then great...but you know what? After all I've been through in my life, I'm just going to be happy to make it in and I truly believe you and I both, will be so joyous to finally meet Jesus and God our salvation face to face, that we will not even be thinking about who we lost before. WE WILL BE IN HEAVEN! No more pain! No more suffering! Everlasting glorious life with JESUS! Heaven will be so glorious and wonderful, I really don't think I care about meeting my brother again, my mother, father...anybody. It will be about me meeting my Savior and inheriting his promises after so much suffering and pain here on earth. So, mourn, but don't allow the devil to keep you in that mourning and dreams of hooking up with Adam again in heaven. God has other plans for you, great plans for you. And you don't want to hinder yourself from receiving what God has in store for you and neither would Adam.

First of all, sorry to hear about your loss!!

Secondly, I think that heaven will be a place of love we cannot fathom. Here we are on earth and love is one of the most powerful feelings humans feel, but in heaven we will be filled with unimaginable love that we wont even be asking ourselves if we can find relationship type love. I imagine we will be filled with every type of goodness one can imagine plus more.
