Hey everyone..Please Read

hey everyone, if I could just have a minute of your time. On Oct. 23 Home Depot fired a young man for wearing an American Flag Pin that said "One Nation Under God" I started a petition because Americans are tired of our freedoms being taken away. We have every right to say and do and wear whatever we want as long as it does not break the law. actually.....he was hired by home depot to wear a uniform...not pins, and all that. He was warned once...I agree with the decision. Christians can witness without wearing the pins or speaking anything really.

Hi. I really feel like that is stepping on our constitutional rights to not allow people to practice their religion how they feel like they should. who was it hurting that he wore that pin.
I have a hard time with a country who wants to take God out of everything. Isn't that what we started out to be: A christian nation? I feel like it is getting really scarey.

I work at home depot, and yes there is a policy, however, as you feel it is not right I do highly recommend you petition or let them know how you feel about it, like any large corporations they will listen if a large amount of people complain. I remember going into a break room of a different home depot and reading an e-mail pinned on the wall asking the employees to wear red on fridays in honor of our veterans overseas and keeping them in our prayers. This was about three weeks ago, keep in mind all stores are different based on who the management is.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you. When a company that has a uniform or dress code hires a person then the dress code needs to be conformed to. If all employees were let to display what ever they want on their uniforms it could cause for a lot of discourse within the ranks of employees.

I have to agree with what seems to be the majority that if you are hired by a privately owned corporation, you have to conform to their uniform policy. Key words being privately owned.

I have a problem with a country...that doesnt allow Muslims to freely speak their faith, or those who are homosexual to be christian as well....without being judged...you know that stuff. I do hope you arent offended, but these are just my thoughts and ideas. thanks guys.

I think the question is did they get fired because what the pin said or the fact it was a pin and it was not part of the uniform? As in what if they had a pin that said "Have a nice day!", would they still get fired?

probably not, honestly. but still...esp in this economy, if you want to keep your job...do whatever you can...dont do what pisses management off....I agree with it

Actually, the Muslims can speak freer than us Americans here cause if they get offended, they can cry the old "discrimination" thing and get away with it.
But we are being forced to cater to the wishes of every foriegner that comes here
