My boyfriend and I are both religious. Recently he prayed to God to have me break up with him if we aren't meant for each other. Soon after that I broke up with him because I was feeling overwhelmed. I immediately realized it was a mistake and I do want to be with him. Do you think this is a sign from God we aren't meant for each other? Should I try to get him back? I love this man with all of my heart and can truly picture us spending our lives together.

Don't know your specific situation, but generally I would say you only need to
break up if you feel you are a bad influence on each other.

On the other hand if you both feel you want a deeper relationship with God and come
to know Him properly, then why not seek God together and prayer for each other.
I know plenty of couples who have found Christ together.


You dont say why you were overwhelmed or why your boyfriend prayed like that.
Maybe he wants you both to separate, sounds like there is a lot more to this.
