Well, there's forums where you can go through and look at posts made by other people. You can answer them or make your own posts in different forums. (For example, if you have a question or want advice about family then you can go to the family forum, etc etc) I think the more you browse the forums and read them the more you get the idea.
If you click on the yellow "Christianchat" logo it'll take you to the homepage. If you go to the top of the homepage and click the blue "chat now" button then it'll take you to the livechatroom.
There's a link in the welcome forum at the top that offers a tutorial here. There's also a forum with frequenty asked questions.
