Kia ora tatou katoa (Greetings everyone),

I wandered into this chat room this evening and I've decided to stay a while to fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ from all over the world. I live in New Zealand, a beautiful small country way down-under in the South Pacific Ocean. Our isolation protects us - for many of us Kiwis who hail from Aotearoa - this is God's Zone, our own little paradise away from the conflicts of the rest of the world. We travel to other countries to experience the world but there is nothing like flying home ... feeling the thud of the plane's wheels hitting the tarmac of the sweetest homeland on Earth :)

I work full-time. I enjoy travelling, seeing new sights and experiencing the cultures of other nationalities. My son lives in Australia so I fly regularly to visit him in Queensland. I was born and raised in a Christian family, saved and baptised in my teens and I have lived all my life knowing my time on Earth is only until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ who will take us to live with him for eternity. Praise the Lord!

I have walked with my Lord and sometimes without but He has never left my side. There have been times in my life I have felt like a BrokenWing so my nic reminds me that although I am a sinner I am loved unconditionally by my Heavenly Father. Slowly I have learnt not to take His blessings for granted and to be truly grateful. I have grown to know His peace which is so unique to those who believe in Him and nothing of this world can surpass it.

I hope I meet some friends here at ChristianChat.com
Kia tau te rangimarie (May peace descend on you)

Hi, how are you doing Ms. BrokenWing: good to see you; God bless His Word to you.

So do you like the 80s song 'Broken Wing'? :)

Kind of like 1983 all over again! :)

My wife and I have friends in Wellington. One of these days we would like to cross the Cook Straits on the Picton Ferry and go through the Marlborough Sounds, the route mentioned in Katherine Mansfield's 'The Crossing'

Welcome Broken Wing glad to meet you. We support a wonderful, sweet godly missionary who was in New Zealand - her name is Shari House. She was in Rotorua and Wanganui. Is this near you? She is now in Thailand.
Kia tau te rangimarie

Hey faroukfarouk, thanks for the welcome :) Yes, I do like the song "Broken Wings" although it wasn't the reason for my nic, I simply like the vision of a beautiful fiery phoenix that isn't quite perfect hence "broken wing", haha. I've travel by ferry through the Marlborough Sounds once during summer at twilight (I usually fly down south) and the scenery/ambiance was breath-taking! I assume you're Canadian from your flag (which I think is cool). This year it's likely NZers will decide whether or not we want to change our national flag. I hope it happens and our flag has a simple design like yours. Our silver fern is popular with Kiwis but time will tell what happens. Anyway, thanks again for making me feel welcome. Blessings :)

Hey bbchaser, thanks for saying hello to me. I don't know what one is expected to do when others respond to my introduction. I haven't done this before. Anyway, to be polite I've replied to everyone who left me a note. No doubt in time I'll pick up what to do, how to chat, and stuff like whether I should reply individually or I can just reply once to everyone. God bless you :)
