My name is Derek, I am 34 years old and I am currently living in Paisley, Scotland. From birth I attended church regularly with my family, who have attended the same church for generations. We moved around a lot when I was young, mainly due to my three younger brothers arriving and the space to person ratio wasn't ideal. It was due to these house moves that I ended up attending various denominations of the church
I must point out here that I loved being part of the church, I took part in the services, the nativity plays, monitored at the kids’ clubs, coached the boys’ football team which I adored, I played in various praise bands and even taught Sunday School briefly in my teenage years.
Sadly, in my teenage years I had some experiences that changed my whole view on the church and I lost my faith over night. For the past 15 years I have been living in complete spiritual confusion, there are so many questions I have unanswered, questions I’m sure a more biblically knowledgeable person would be well equipped to help me with.
