I might as well explain myself, and thank you for reading if you do :)
I was almost 30 before I picked up the bible and started reading, and soon after I my put my trust and hope in God. It has been more than 20 years since then, and as a late convert to Christ I testify that the love and satisfaction in God is much better than the former pleasures of this world, much more dependable and long lasting.

I’m satisfied and happy, and while life itself has continued to be plenty rough at times, I don’t let life’s struggle over temporal things bother me. Yet what does bother me is the overwhelming lack of zeal, concern, conviction and biblical knowledge among the many Church people I have met along the way. Perhaps my conversion was of a different circumstance than other people’s experience, but love towards God saves everyone alike from the same thing; that is death, and a sure judgment of our sinful lifestyle. I would think this fact would be life changing, but from what I observe it seems most people are satisfied with little more than to accept Gods gift of life and grace, and not be motivated to show or share the same love they have received from God with others.

For my own sanity I hope to meet other people who realize what they have been saved from, and what they have been redeemed to be. As a witness of the deceptive religious manipulation within Mormonism, and thence becoming aware of the similarity of deceptions throughout the world of religion, philosophy, politics, life in general, and within our own heart, I was intrigued to study all this deeper, and I still do. My admiration for Holy Scripture reason and truth grew exponentially the more I studied the beliefs of cults, isms, philosophy and comparative religions.

It is my hope that I will find fellowship with others that share a zeal for God and truth. Zelos

Welcome brother, and I share your sentiments. The deception in this world is so great just the existence of born again believers is a testament to His power. I feel the "narrow path" is much more narrow then we'd like to think. I'd be more than happy to discuss anything you want.

Good Morning brothers,

Life here on earth is an experience a journey if you will and when we go through this life, we will be lifted to God's view and all things will be made clear unto you. Embrace the good and the bad and I know that it can be hard a times as we all struggle with one thing or another. But, remember the Holy Spirit is by your side in all things - guiding and protecting you in all things. Praise The Lord and his son Jesus Christ for that marvelous act of love - giving you the Holy Spirit.

The lack of understanding is everywhere, and all around us, and especially in the Churches, - Churches are filled with sinners and likewise so is this world, its no secret that some of the churches lack understanding - the bible says so in it that you will know the right ones by the fruit it bears. Some people today are in the business of religion, the practice of putting on an event that is filled with other things beside the facts hearing the word of God and applying it to your life.

The entire idea of the Church was to be a place of welcoming, help, understanding, unconditional love, feeding place for the soul and help with managing the things on the outside of it. Jesus knew where he was leaving us and he made clear the instructions to his disciples of what he wanted each of them to do for the Church. From that time, until now, man has watered down the Word of God, and interjected his own perception and understanding of it which has resulted what you have been witnessing. That is why these forums and chat rooms have been created to bring together people like us who have been blessed to see these things. In hopes that we (those who see these things) will reach out to their brothers, sisters, and help them to get back to the "ORIGINAL" Word of God, the Bible - where the living word lives. Help them to remember that they must pray with an open heart to receive the Word of God and the clarification of understanding that it gives when doing that. Jesus said we must give thanks and prayer over our food and that includes the Word of God in order for it to feed the spirit.

Amen sister. Man I've been feeling His presents in my spirit SO much lately, it's like I'm about to burst with such undeserved merciful joy. I'm just so grateful it's almost frustrating the words don't exist to shout the praise He deserves. He's been putting so much love in my heart for my fellow believers I am just overjoyed to hear His power come out in thier words.

I'm in a bible study on Revelation, and we just got done with 4, and the description of Heaven, and all the elders and Living Creatures just worshiping Him on His throne, and it's just lit a fire inside me, I just want to sing "Holy, Holy, Holy" too. Thanks for letting me share, and I love all the brothers and sisters out there so much.

Oh, I know, I know. I have read the bible from front end and when I got to revelations I honestly was a little hesitant to finish reading it. But, I knew Jesus and the Holy Spirit was with me and they brought me through, when I did finish reading the last word, OMG! what can I say? LOL it was truly amazing! The Lord's word has stayed with me ever since and I continue to live and breath the Lord and all he has done! I am so very happy for you my brother, and so excited to see where the Lord takes you next in your journey with him. I am always available for my brothers in Christ!

I've been posting on this forum all day and its been a true joy!
