I might as well explain myself, and thank you for reading if you do
I was almost 30 before I picked up the bible and started reading, and soon after I my put my trust and hope in God. It has been more than 20 years since then, and as a late convert to Christ I testify that the love and satisfaction in God is much better than the former pleasures of this world, much more dependable and long lasting.
I’m satisfied and happy, and while life itself has continued to be plenty rough at times, I don’t let life’s struggle over temporal things bother me. Yet what does bother me is the overwhelming lack of zeal, concern, conviction and biblical knowledge among the many Church people I have met along the way. Perhaps my conversion was of a different circumstance than other people’s experience, but love towards God saves everyone alike from the same thing; that is death, and a sure judgment of our sinful lifestyle. I would think this fact would be life changing, but from what I observe it seems most people are satisfied with little more than to accept Gods gift of life and grace, and not be motivated to show or share the same love they have received from God with others.
For my own sanity I hope to meet other people who realize what they have been saved from, and what they have been redeemed to be. As a witness of the deceptive religious manipulation within Mormonism, and thence becoming aware of the similarity of deceptions throughout the world of religion, philosophy, politics, life in general, and within our own heart, I was intrigued to study all this deeper, and I still do. My admiration for Holy Scripture reason and truth grew exponentially the more I studied the beliefs of cults, isms, philosophy and comparative religions.
It is my hope that I will find fellowship with others that share a zeal for God and truth. Zelos
