I need help..

​Hi my name Is Tahira I'm 15 an Apostolic Pentecostal . This past summer I've been struggling through self harm and depression. I'm apostolic and its been really hard. It seems like everything is crashing in my life. The only person Iv really talked to about this is my mom and I feel like I tell anyone else they are going to think less of me. I don't know what to do..

Hello baby sister.....Im so glad you have your mom to talk to ....but I dont think
you have any reason to feel shame.......no one here will judge you.....reaching out
and standing and admitting these things is showing you are intelligent and strong...
Maybe to you.... it seems like life isnt what you thought it would be....ive been there..
but what I found....you have to break it down...one thing at a time....and soon things
all around you start to change....coming and admitting to others is the first step....
with the things you can fix or change... work on those......the things that you have no
control over....leave that to God...thank Him for already being at work in your life....
He is there ...whether you feel it or not....He rearranges things so we line up with His Plan....
Sometimes I think .....what is going on...this wasnt what I was praying for....guess what...
everytime that happens ....I find something better tends to happen....and then its an adventure...
Just keep your faith and keep talking to mom.....im here if you need anything...just pm me...

I'm sorry to hear you're going through tough times. There are many brothers an sisters here to listen, and we already have the best teacher that ever lived to guide us. I hope He leads you to peace soon. Good luck and may God bless you and your family.

God has directed you to the right place so please don't despair. There are a lot of good people here that are willing to listen to you and offer you comfort and encouragement. I've had depression since i was 14. Still do. I did a little self harm. But i have known, and still know, some Christians who battle with both of these things. While, yes, some people are ignorant and will perhaps make you feel bad, ignore them. There are others who can understand how you feel and what you're going through and may even be able to help in some way.

You're welcome here, Tahira. I am so sorry you are going through this. Like Ugly said though, a lot of Christians have gone through this. Not to say that your feelings are any less personal or important for it, but that you are not alone. I am sure that your family would want to hear about this and would want to help you. And even if they didn't for whatever reason, there are people who do and people who can and will help you however they can. And above all God cares about how you feel too, no matter what.
