Yes, the corrupted line did come through the woman. It was very fortunate that it happened that way instead of by fallen angels. The whole world today world be corrupted!

Since we know that the Sons did Not have any imperfections, it was from a WOman and attached to the X chromosome. Since we did not see many Giants, we can safely assume that one X Gene was corrupted.

Y X2 Male
As one can see it would depend upon which X chromosome X1 or X2 is corupted. Out of four Children the possibility of having a corrupted child each birth is 50%. The Possiblilty of the child of each Birth is 50%.
By carrying this out a little further- next generation....
A male Child would not have the corrupted gene since all he will contribute to the Child is a Y gene which is not affected.

If His mate is NOT corrupted, then they will have a normal child, Male or Female.
A Female Child of the first Generation that has no corrupted gene (50%) would be like the male above and produce normal Children.
HOWEVER A corrupted Male CHild or a corrupted Female Child of the First Generation can produce Male and Females that are corrupted. with percentages ranging from 25% to 100%.

If a fallen angel had given contributed to the First Generation Child, I would consider that Both of HIS Genes (X and Y) were corrupted there by producing 100% corruption in both the male and female line throughout History. No one would be saved out of this scenario.

x corrupted X 2 = Female Corupted (x X2)
Y Corrupted X1 = Male Corrupted (Y X1)
Y Corrupted X2 = Male Corrupted (Y X2)
This will produce children who not only have a 100% change of being corrupted, The Male Child will be have Both Genes that are corrupted. The Female will have a 50-50% chance of having both Genes that corrupted.
This would cause a wide margin of the population to have both Genes corrupted or be one hundred percent a Giant.
